5 Paragraph 6-10 Analysis
In Ch 5 Paragraph 6-10, Atwood shows that through a feminist lens that woman in the book are shown as only useful for giving birth and household things only and shows that women are not needed for anything else besides that. They start of with women in the society. They separated women into different types of groups or roles. The roles were shown by the dress they were wearing; blue for wives, red for handmaids, and green for Marthas. This basically gets rid of women’s individuality.This may infer that women are treated differently now because of this class system.
