My Path to The United States Air Force
I always wanted to go into the military as a little kid. Now, actually being at the age of what I need to decide on what I’m going to do for my future is a little harder than I thought it was going to be. I have chose to do my project on The United States Air Force. It has always intrigued me to join the military because of my grandfather. He was in the Air Force and always told me stories about when he was in the service. I really wasn’t sure about what branch to go into because I didn’t really know what pays the best, but which is also the safest. This project has showed me that the Air Force is the safest option, and pays the best out of all of the branches of the military. So, this really worked out well because I always thought being a pilot would be such a fun job.
I have found that the Air Force and the Navy are one of the two best branch’s to going into if you want to fly planes. Although, none of this would have ever happened if it weren't for the Wright Brothers. The Wright brothers flew the world's first powered airplane at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. At first, however, the Aeronautical Division was mainly interested in balloons instead of heavier than air flying machines. Now that there are airplanes being made, it’s only going to take a couple of more years till we get jets that rip right through air, and literally make a bang, or also known as a sonic boom.
Planes have interested me ever since I was a little kid when I first saw the Blue Angels Air Show. These aren't just any planes though, they are specifically made to do aerobatic stunts at high and low speeds. This is why I want to be a pilot. I love high speeds and extreme sports and this will offer me the best of both worlds. The Air Force only accepts the best of the best for their pilots, which I can understand. After all, they are entrusting individuals with aircraft that is worth multi-millions of dollars. I feel that with
