American Culture in My Eyes
What is really American culture? Because of short American history, some people in my country still have a question: What makes the United States develop rapidly? The answer is unique American culture. On the small aspects, it can be attributed to the living standard, which is American life culture, such as daily diet, clothes, and transportation. To the major aspects, American culture can be attributed to values and social-orientation. For example, the main content of American value is to emphasize on individuals' value. In addition, pursuing democracy and freedom are also from American culture. However, all of these are not actually reasons why American can develop rapidly. According my observations, Americans have some interesting and excellent features, such as making plans, the attitude of money, and the spirits of innovation and adventure.
First of all, the major important specificity of American culture is that American people like to make plan before they move. For example, the U.S. microeconomic program is entirely based on planning. Major U.S. companies have made studies and researches for the market, and then according to the results of researching on the production and marketing, the managers make plan for next steps. Comparatively, some small companies in my country just blindly accept the plan from executives, but other about their production, sales and management is unplanned. The other example is that Americans advance with all the money, such as buying house, buying car, or buying furniture. Mostly Chinese people in the United States have credit card, but they often use it only for convenience, not really borrowing. Instead, Americans are actually using it. As a result, making plans before moving makes American people more cautious, and that is what Chinese people need. Second, the value of money is different between China and America.
