Failure may seem like the end, but from the bottom, you can only look up, and learn from your mistakes. I saw this in my mother when I visited her weekly in prison, seeing how hardship can bring great improvement and gain. By the time she was released, my mother had unburdened herself the hardship of addiction, learned about her spirituality, and regained her confidence in herself. The same thing could pertain to me, as any collapse I have faced or could face, may also be an opportunity to reflect upon my mistake and prevent it from happening in the future. During this time, I too had to stand steadfast through the turmoil. So I could continue a steady life, I moved in with my father, but it was anything but that. There may have been no drug or addiction problems, but instead a completely different magnitude of dilemmas. As my father lived an hour round trip from my school district, and worked morning and late night shifts, I was required to wake up at the twilight of morning, feed myself, and leave for school. Yet another debacle faced me on the academics front of education, as I constantly fell asleep in class and had little to no assistance in completing schoolwork, and thus my
