An Analytical Essay: Casy's Attitudes Toward Sin
Casy’s attitude toward sin contributes to the unraveling theme of the novel is an attitude similar to how a non-believer would view the ideas of virtue and sin. Casy claims, “There ain’t no sin and there ain’t no virtue. There’s just stuff people do” (23). He questions the idea of sinning and doubts its existence. Casy says that with “love and cooperation” there will be peace and life will be much easier lived.
