Brief Summary Of The Book 'Half Brother' By Kenneth Oppel
Half Brother written by Kenneth Oppel is an incredible book about a boy that develops a relationship with his father’s experiment, a chimp named Zan. In the beginning of the story Ben does not want to have a brother, especially one that isn’t human, but even though he is upset about it he is forced to go along with it. After every day that goes by, Ben starts feeling better about his “half brother” and realizes that it isn’t that bad having someone to talk to and play with. Ben and his mom begin to think about Zan as a brother rather than an experiment, but his dad thinks that Zan is an experiment and strictly an experiment. Ben’s dad treats Zan like an experiment, and he does this by hiring an array of interns to take shifts babysitting Zan.

Ben completely disagrees with his father’s decision and takes Zan out of the room to play with him.
