More Flags, More Fun!
Six Flags Entertainment Corp. is the world’s largest amusement park corporation based on the number of properties in Mexico, the United States, and Canada and that it is the fifth most popular in terms of attendance. The company maintains eighteen properties throughout North America consisting of theme parks, water parks, and family entertainment centers.
The company was founded in Texas and took its name from its first property, Six Flags Over Texas. The company maintains a corporate office in Midtown Manhattan, New York City and its headquarters are in Grand Prairie, Texas. The name refers to the flags of the six different nations that have governed Texas: Spain, France, Mexico, the Republic of Texas, The United States of America, and the Confederate States of America. The original park was (and still is) split into separate regions, such as Spain and Mexico, which featured Spanish themed rides, attractions, and buildings.

Coney Island at the turn of the century was a bustling and growing place. People of all classes traveled from New York City as well as other parts of the world to take part in the famous amusements that helped to loosen the tight corsets of Victorian gentility. Inspired by the Columbian Exposition in 1893 George Tilyou began to build a park on Coney Island beginning with the Ferris Wheel similar to that featured at the exposition which was designed by the Pennsylvania Steel Company. By 1895 Tilyou opened Steeplechase Park and began to fill it with acts and side shows thus inspired by his travels a few years prior.…

Six Flags is a theme park that has anything from sweet treats to fun rides. Six Flags provides many things for all ages to do and enjoy. You also can see famous cartoon characters, such as Bugs Bunny, walking around the park. Teenagers and adults who have strong stomachs might enjoy riding the huge roller coasters. For example, The Ninja is one of my favorites. The Ninja is red and black and is very fast and is over in a heartbeat. It goes up and down steep hills and even loops upside down. Six Flags also has water rides available to keep people cool from the warm weather. My favorite is Thunder River. Last summer, I was lucky enough to get caught under the waterfall, which is just my luck. Six Flags also has games to play and many souvenir shops. The games are loud and have huge stuffed animals as a prize for winning. As for the sweets I mentioned, the funnel cakes are absolutely delicious, they are cooked to perfection and are topped with powdered sugar. I would recommend Six Flags as a place to go when visiting Atlanta for family fun and a great bonding time to hang out with friends.…

Another very popular vacation destination is theme parks. Places like Disney World, Dollywood, Six Flags, Universal Studios and Sea World offer big doses of high energy family fun. Theme parks are most popular amongst families with small children. There are plenty of activities geared directly toward holding children’s interests. There is also something magical about theme parks that draws in adults. The sights, the sounds, but mostly the way they make them feel. They remind them of simpler times, like when they were children and didn’t have a care in the world. The benefit to these vacations is that they require very little planning. The only thing you have to plan is how to get there. Once you arrive at the theme…
