This pamphlet was not very big but it was very inspiring. This pamphlet showed everyone that we deserve and need Independence. Many copies of this pamphlet were sold. Thomas Paine was a great man. The reason why I put Thomas Paine in this paper is because George Washington gained us our independence and Thomas Paine basically produced it. Thomas Paine had a lot to do with independence along with George Washington. Both were very great men and taught many through their words of wisdom. They were very similar and wise just one didn't fight in war. They did have their differences. George Washington after the war he became president of the United states of America. when he was president he did not get to live in the white house. Not living in the white house isn't the only thing he did while he was in office. He knew that he had to be careful because his actions would determine what future presidents would do and he was exactly right about that. This is why he didn't write much in his journal because he knew people would read out of it. He considered the future for everything. He knew his actions could cause the death of America or the Birth of America and obviously he did great cause were not dead yet. We might be in debt but he made great decisions. When George Washington retired to Mount Vernon in 1796 after two terms of being president. He declined a third term he then moved to Mount Vernon with his family Martha and her kids. When he died he was put in a tomb at Mount Vernon. in 1960 it was designated a National land mark don't get it confused with Mount Rushmore. His tomb and Mount Rushmore were very different. Washington caught a cold in December 1799 . While he was inspecting his properties it was raining and his cold turned into a throat infection. He then died on the 14th of December. As I said he was buried in a tomb in Mount Vernon. When he was near death he released his slaves to be free men and women. Hundreds of schools are now named after him and also the nations capitol city. These places were named after him in honor of his great duty towards this country we were blessed to have a great leader like
