Brainstorming or Free writing is a helpful component of prewriting; It involves writing down every idea and thought that comes to mind, when determining what topic you would like to write about and how you will go about it. Free writing is like an unstructured outline, and once you determine the specific ideas you’d like to pursue, you can dispose of all other irrelevant information.

B. Researching

Researching is another important component of prewriting. Once you determine your topic, you will obtain information from outside sources such as encyclopedias, the internet, books written on the subject in order to form the basis of, and be as accurate as possible, in your writing.
