Operational amplifier
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia An operational amplifier ("op-amp") is a DC-coupled high-gain electronic voltage amplifier with a differential input and, usually, a single-ended output.[1] An op-amp produces an output voltage that is typically hundreds of thousands of times larger than the voltage difference between its input terminals.[2] Operational amplifiers had their origins in analog computers where they were used to do mathematical operations in many linear, non-linear and frequencydependent circuits. Characteristics of a circuit using an op-amp are set by external components with little dependence on temperature changes or manufacturing variations in the op-amp itself, which makes op-amps popular building blocks for circuit design.

Op-amps are among the most widely used electronic devices today, being used in a vast array of consumer, industrial, and scientific devices. Many standard IC op-amps cost only a few cents in moderate production volume; however some integrated or hybrid operational amplifiers with special performance specifications may cost over $100 US in small quantities.[citation needed] Op-amps may be packaged as components, or used as elements of more complex integrated circuits. The op-amp is one type of differential amplifier. Other types of differential amplifier include the fully differential amplifier (similar to the op-amp, but with two outputs), the instrumentation amplifier (usually built from three op-amps), the isolation amplifier (similar to the instrumentation amplifier, but with tolerance to common-mode voltages that would destroy an ordinary op-amp), and negative feedback amplifier (usually built from one or more op-amps and a resistive feedback network). The power supply pins (VS+ and VS−) can be labeled

Utilizing the circuit designs perfected for recently introduced Quad Operational Amplifiers, these dual operational amplifiers feature 1) low power drain, 2) a common mode input voltage range extending to ground/VEE, 3) single supply or split supply operation and 4) pinouts compatible with the popular MC1558 dual operational amplifier. The LM158 series is equivalent to one–half of an LM124. These amplifiers have several distinct advantages over standard operational amplifier types in single supply applications. They can operate at supply voltages as low as 3.0 V or as high as 32 V, with quiescent currents about one–fifth of those associated…

The V-Chip had quite an impact on television since it has been introduced. The whole point of the V-Chip was to regulate what children watch on television by making a rating system so the parent has all the power to choose what their kids will watch on television. If for some reason there is a television show that is being questioned by a parent, that parent can contact the local station the show plays on to file a complaint in hopes they re-rate the rating that show has received. The V-chip can be very effective at protecting kids from certain type of television shows but it is hard to personalize a show to completely fall in to a parent’s acceptable manner. The V-chip does not replace the parent and it’s that…

Operational change refers to change in daily process to meet the business goals and cut the cost. For example: production schedule, hiring temporary workers to help cover temporary need. “Operational changes occur when A firm’s efficiency capability influences firm performance and is defined as a firm’s ability to produce goods and provide services at the lowest possible cost” (Tiantian, Yezhuang, 2011). Change in the process can effect some divisions of the organization or entire organization depending on the type of operation process. For Example: Sales organization decides to change the frequency of their sales meeting from twice a week to three time a week with sales Managers to get updates on sales numbers and understand outside market. Since Sales organization is changing the meeting frequency, it is an operational…

    · OPERATIONAL DEFINITION: This means that terms must be defined by the steps or operations used to measure them. Such a procedure is necessary to eliminate any confusion in meaning and communication. Consider the statement `Anxiety causes students to score poorly in tests'. One might ask, `What is meant by anxiety?' Stating that anxiety refers to being tense or some other such term only adds to the confusion. However, stating that anxiety refers to a score over a criterion level on an anxiety scale enables others to realise what you mean by anxiety. Stating an operational definition forces one to identify the empirical referents, or terms. In this manner, ambiguity is minimised. Again, introversion may be defined as a score on a particular personality scale, hunger as so many hours since last fed, and social class as defined by occupation.…
