Documentaries of Highschool
Just once wouldn't you love for someone to simply show you the evidence for God's existence? No arm-twisting. No statements of, "You just have to believe." Well, here is an attempt to honestly offer some of the reasons which suggest that God exists.
But first bear this in your mind. When it comes to the possibility of God's existence, the Bible says that there are people who have seen plenty evidences, but they have covered up the truth about God. On the other hand, for those who want to know God if He is there, he says, "You will seek me and find me; when you seek me with all your heart, I will be found by you.
Scientists are convinced that our universe began with one enormous explosion of energy and light, which we now call the Big Bang. This was the singular start to everything that exists: the beginning of the universe, the start of space, and even the initial start of time itself.
Astrophysicist Robert Jastrow, a self-described agnostic, stated, "The seed of everything that has happened in the Universe was planted in that first instant; every star, every planet and every living creature in the Universe came into being as a result of events that were set in motion in the moment of the cosmic explosion...The Universe flashed into being, and we cannot find out what caused that to happen."9
Steven Weinberg, a Nobel laureate in Physics, said at the moment of this explosion, "the universe was about a hundred thousand million degrees Centigrade...and the universe was filled with light."10
The universe has not always existed. It had a start...what caused that? Scientists have no explanation for the sudden explosion of light and matter. Look throughout the major world religions and you'll find that Buddha, Muhammad, Confucius and Moses all identified themselves as teachers or prophets. None of them ever claimed to be equal to God. Amazingly, Jesus did. That is what sets Jesus apart from all the others. He said God exists and you're looking at him. Though he

    5. When did the Big Bang occur? Space and time were created in the Big Bang. At the beginning of the universe, the space was completely filled with matter. The matter was originally very hot and very dense and then expanded and cooled to eventually produce the stars and galaxies we see in the universe today.…

It is unthinkable that we created ourselves or some big band theory of nonsense can ever explain the great handy work God has created in the heavens and on earth. How arrogant we humans have become. This symphony of unison, one accord, teamwork, and movement of stars speaks and coexist across the galaxies clear into the unknown and back again, without a glitch, from the beginning of time. Our bad behaviors are also consistent from the beginning of time as well.…

It is human nature to question our existence. Some believe it was God who created our existence, and others rely on science. This has been an ongoing debate since life on earth. This paper argues that it is not possible to prove either way whether if the traditional God exists or not. There are no credentials to prove God’s existence or lack of; it is merely a belief. Some may rely on the Bible as proof although there is no way to prove the stories within true.…

The theory predicts that the universe could be expanding from an initially condensed state, a process known as the big bang. For a number of years the big bang theory was contested by an alternative known as the steady state theory, based on the concept of the continuous creation of matter throughout the universe. Later knowledge gained about the universe, however, has strongly supported the big bang theory as against its competitors. Such findings either were predicted by or did not conflict with relativity theory, thus also further supporting the theory. Perhaps the most critical piece of evidence was the discovery, in 1965, of what is called background radiation. This "sea" of electromagnetic radiation fills the universe at a temperature of about 2.7K (2.7 ºC above absolute zero, which denotes complete lack of energy). Background radiation had been proposed by general relativity as the remaining trace of an early, hot phase of the universe following the big bang. The observed cosmic abundance of helium (20 to 30 percent by weight) is also a required result of the big-bang conditions predicted by relativity…

    Cosmological Argument

    • 1060 Words

Throughout time, there has been different opinions on the existence of the Supreme Being (God) and, has been disputed between philosophers, scientists, and other scholars for quite some time. The problem with some of these arguments is that they often end up circular without a clear answer and, in reality, there is no coherent response to answer this inquiry and along these lines can make anyone question why these individuals are posing this question in the first place. Concerning this matter there are two main groups: non-believers and the believers of the God. Since the beginning, people devoted to the worship of God have tried to explain and provide proof of the existence of God whereas nonbelievers try to disprove this belief. I believe…

The most argued over topic in the world is undoubtedly the existence of “God”. But after thousands of years it is still impossible to prove his existence or nonexistence. In the scientific community it is required that there is ample data to prove a claim, but in the modern world “Gods” existence is based on faith or of forms of proof. So how do we know if he is real or not?…

There has been a debate on God’s existence has remained a very heated argument that has been carried down through generations. Several arguments have been brought forward by those who are against the claim that God exists as well as by those who are for the argument. These arguments can be of cosmological or teleological nature. Cosmological arguments are based on philosophical laws as they try to argue for or against the origin of man and how they help describe the origin of God’s existence. Teleological arguments on the other hand are also based on philosophy but instead they argue by explaining phenomena by their ends or purpose. McCloskey in his article “On Being an Atheist” highlights the importance of having proof beyond any reasonable…

Do you believe in God? God is a being that no one has ever been able to prove exists. When someone chooses to believe in God; that decision is based solely on their faith. It is a decision that someone decides in their heart, which is often based on experiences in their life; whether they are simply personal experiences or religious ones. It is not a secret to anyone that God has never been be seen, heard, nor touched by any living human according to history and the present day. Though, the bible gives the personal testimonies of many righteous men of God’s goodness and existence, how can one prove that to be true? According to Nils Ch. Raught (2007) “If [an] argument from religious experiences is to be successful, we must focus our attention on those religious experiences that closely resemble ordinary perceptual experiences” (p. 180). So, I…

There are many theories proving and disproving God, but truthfully, none of them actually show evidence that God is real. People lose faith in God when life takes a right instead of turning left. The fact whether God exist should not play a large role in people’s lives. In order to live a just life, one must live life through the morals that God has sent down to us. Proving God to be real is an impossible feat, but living life the way he wants us to is quite simple, and evil is just apart of human nature.…

How did the Universe come to be? There are many theories on how the universe began, but the most common and scientific is the Big Bang theory. Georges Lemaitre is said to be the first person to formulate the Big Bang theory in 1927. Lemaitre gathered information and ideas from scientists Albert Einstein, and Alexander Friedman to create…

God never asks us to believe, without giving sufficient evidence upon which to base our faith. His existence, His character, the truthfulness of His word, are all established by testimony that appeals to our reason; and this testimony is abundant. Yet God has never removed the possibility of doubt. Our faith must rest upon evidence, not demonstration. Those who wish to doubt will have opportunity; while those who really desire to know the truth will find plenty of evidence on which to rest their faith.…
