Explain The Barriers To Children And Young People's Participation
Barriers to children and young people’s participation include:
Physical barriers
Lack of access, equipment, or resources.
A child who has visual, hearing, physical impairments, English as a second language, speech impairment, behavioural problems or dyslexia will need resources or one to one support to access the school or curriculum.
Organisational barriers
This could be because the policies within the school have not been set up to ensure that all pupils can be included effectively. This may be because of lack of training or lack of understanding which will lead to insufficient use of support and/or equipment.
