My favorite Christmas moment, which there have been many of them has left much of an impact and those memories stay with me throughout the year. Looking over this topic, I really remember this one Christmas last year, in December of 2013. This Christmas left the biggest impact on me and has etched a lasting memory forever in my heart. I remember this very cold day in December, the air was crisp and Christmas decorations were being hung all over to celebrate the joyous season of Christmas. I was very excited because my mother and brother surprised me with a trip to Manhattan to enjoy the start of this beautiful season. Each year my mother and brother like to surprise me with this trip to Manhattan and it has become a family tradition since I could remember.
Every year we always like to look at the store windows as they always like to display Christmas decorations and some put shows on. One stop that we always made was to Rockefeller center to see the Christmas tree. This tree was so big that I wondered how they were able to get this huge tree into the busy city and into this small area. I also loved to watch the ice skaters skate around the tree and drink there hot coco. Just down the street from Rockefeller- Center is Radio City Music Hall. I knew my brother and mother were planning to surprise me as they stated earlier to me that this year was going to be an even more special visit. As we were walking my brother stopped into Radio City and I wondered why? As he went inside I walked over to a Volunteer working for the Salvation Army to patronize some money and the big moment happened, my brother walked out with three tickets in his hand and said we are going to see the show. I was so shocked that I think I thanked them both several times for this moment. It was the best feeling ever and I was amazed because it was my first time entering

All the good moments that I once had with my beloved ones have a very special space in my heart. Some of the most special moments that I can know remember would mean nothing if I had not the company and warm of my family. One of the most memorable moments I have experienced was four years ago, when I traveled from Matamoros, Tamaulipas to San Antonio, Texas. I had the opportunity of visiting San Antonio for the first time, and more importantly, of spending time with my family who I had not seen in years prior to the trip. Spending time with my family is of great value and importance to me, so I became utterly excited to see them as soon as I had the chance.…

The most memorable time in my life was my daughter's cleft palate surgery. It was January 4th when my daughter and I had to leave El Paso, TX to take a trip to Austin, TX. It was a long drive for a little baby like her at the time she was only two years old. Early that morning my parents took us to the bus station. The bus was leaving at 6 a.m. in the morning to get to Austin, TX at midnight. My daughter and I felt it was the longest drive ever as the bus was very full and kept stopping. Finally, we arrived to Austin at midnight. I had to walk around for some time until I found a cab to take us to the hotel. I was scared and nervous. I was all alone with my daughter in a city we didn't know. We arrived to the hotel and finally felt safe and some peace. As soon as we walked in the room, I called my family and let them know we were good.…

With all the traditions that come with this time of year, there is one in particular that my friends and I have not celebrated since we started having kids and the holidays became all about them (thanks for ruining Christmas, kids). Every year, after the Rockefeller Center tree went up, we would gather as many of us as we could and venture into New York City. Some years we had as many as forty people; friends of friends added to the crowd. Our tradition was to first go down to Greenwich Village for a few drinks then uptown to Rockefeller Center, fighting holiday crowds all along the way. Afterwards we would cross over 5th avenue and go into St. Patrick's Cathedral for the pageantry that was Christmas.…

My brother and i used to love this we would cover in a giant blanket and watch cartoon movies in fact these are some of my best and most beautiful memories it was so peaceful. But as we got older and my mom and dad split we began to want to stay with them during the holidays but they would always go their separate ways to have a “good time”. As time went on we never spent it all together we either spent it with my mom or dad but, it still wouldn't matter cuz ma oldest brother was in haiti. When i got to the end of eighth grade and my brother came back we had one of the most memorable christmas ever not because of presents cause there was none it was they way we spent the night. My favorite holiday memory was Thanksgiving with my family in 2010. As soon as I stepped foot into my grandmother's small townhouse I said hi to everyone shaked my uncle's with a firm grip, kissed my grandpa and grandma's hands, and my aunts all left a huge red spot of lipstick on my cheek acting as if I was still a kid. When I was done doing with business I gave my four other cousins around my age that look, which was to run to the basement and wrestle or do other wild things until my grandpa would come down stairs screaming at us. After a couple of hours when my cousins and I were done fooling around, we would all ask our parents for a dollar or two. We knew that if we asked separately that our parents would say something like “what do you need money for” or what not.…

    Best Christmas Ever

    • 333 Words

Every year I have a great Christmas spending valuable time with family and friends. This past Christmas was the best I’ve ever had. I received the best unexpected gift ever! It all started when everyone in my family came to my house early Christmas morning for breakfast. After breakfast we started passing out gifts. First, we would usually go in a huge circle and everyone would open one gift at a time. This time was different and very odd to me. My family would let everyone open a gift and would skip me. At first, I wondered why I didn’t get my turn yet, but then, I thought to myself that something was up. After a while, my family let me open some of my gifts so that I wouldn’t suspect anything. Next, my whole family huddled up whispering to each other. I then knew that something wasn’t right which made me get a little angry. After my family’s little huddle, they handed me a card. As I read the card, I come across the words,” You will be going on a 7 day cruise to Mexico!” I stood up screaming to the top of my lungs with enjoyment. I cried happy tears because I never expected to go on a cruise especially without my parents. All of my family members rushed to me and gave me a big hug. My grandmother and I cried together in joy and sadness because she was happy for me but at the same time, she didn’t want to see her oldest grandchild leave the country without her being there with me. Over all, my family gave me some advice on what to do and what not to do while I’m on the cruise. I had a great time on the cruise and got to learn about a different culture from mines. It was a unforgettable experience and I would never forget the best Christmas…
