Group Process Paper On Tsukasa
Group Process Paper

Doing this project on India together with Laura, Patrick, and Tsukasa has been very satisfying. I usually do not like to work in groups because I end up doing everything; however this project was truly an exception. It was a very interesting project in which you learn a lot not only from the assigned country but from the teammates.
I was pretty much the leader by establishing dates and meetings, and assigning parts to everyone. Still, everyone cooperated equally and very responsibly. Patrick always had good and interesting information to share, Tsukasa did a superb effort and did her work best as she could, and Laura aided tremendously with the powerpoint presentation. Each team member was very committed and motivated,

Created in 1915, the Yamaguchi-gumi is the biggest yakuza family, accounting for 50% of all yakuza in Japan, with more than 55,000 members divided into 850 clans. Despite more than one decade of police repression, the Yamaguchi-gumi has continued to grow. From its headquarters in Kobe, it directs criminal activities throughout Japan. It is also involved in operations in Asia and the United States. Shinobu Tsukasa, also known as Kenichi Shinoda, is the Yamaguchi-gumi's current oyabun. He follows an expansionist policy, and has increased operations in Tokyo (which has not traditionally been the territory of the Yamaguchi-gumi.)…

According to the self-assessment each member in group A took, the team is formed by individuals who in the majority possess Cautious Style characteristics and are influenced by the recessive styles of Steadiness and Interactive. As a whole the team can be defined as a goal or task oriented group whose members are very organized, prefer precision and accuracy when setting up goals for themselves and/or company. In order to be effective within our team, each member will be further analyzed and assigned to a job according to their characteristics which should help lead the group as a whole to reach or exceed expectations. Although there is no specific set of characteristics that makes a leader successful, it is the interpretation and approach of those same characteristics or skills that are used in various situations to effectively drive results.…

If the leader or the manager is organized, does everything at its time and in the best way possible, everyone else would also follow that. In high school I worked on a project with some of my friends which was to create a bridge. Because my grades in Physics and Math was higher than others I had to manage the project. My job was to make sure the static equations work fine and also make sure the other parts such as building and designing had no problems. It was a great experience to have the time to see others and guide them to make sure the problems were solved and bridge won’t fall with different weights on them. Our bridge didn’t win the competition but it was a great practice for all of us to learn how to work in a group. For myself all of these help me to prepare myself for the future and understand my responsibilities more than…

Natasha did do this, but I think some members of the group lacked a little urgency when doing their work. Natasha, Adam and I worked very hard in trying to put together a detailed and satisfactory presentation for our product, having to do some other peoples work to make sure it was done. Michael, worked well but didn’t really turn up in class which made it difficult for us to know what exactly work he had done. Becky and Joe didn’t really make much contribution to the group, Becky put together some of the advertising and did a sufficient amount, but Joe did nothing to contribute to the presentation. Overall, the main outcome of how the team thought I contributed was good. They said that I worked well to bring together everyone’s information to create the business plan and that I helped them with anything they were struggling with. Myself, I thought that I could have worked a little harder on the business plan and make sure that it was in complete detail, but it was hard when I didn’t quite know what everyone had…

My team’s objectives were to raise the awareness of our charity, raise over £1000 and raise as much money as possible and to run successful events. We were given £100 to start our events and had to budget what we spent. We had to decide our individual roles before we started planning any of the events so we all knew what we had to do but this was a bit of a struggle as it was hard to define, in the early stages, who had what roles. However, our team was effective because we all helped each other with different tasks and then all began to found out our strengths and our weaknesses. We all listened to each other and try to make everyone in the team feel welcome and not make them feel left out. For example, When Sandie joined our group it was a while after the team was formed so she may have felt a bit left out but we all tried to make her feel welcome and she took on the role of being in charge of all the health and safety and risk assessments for the event.…

When our group was randomly assigned, by chance, three of our members were already working closely together on an intense project in another class. Luckily, they had already had positive relationships and myself and the other new member fit right in. The result was a significant kick-start, and we were able to maintain the momentum through to completion. Overall our experience working together as group was a positive one, with great group dynamics, and we were happy to be able to work together again.…

As an effective leader you should allow for a healthy amount of conflict, to check each other, and maintain a clear line of sight to the ultimate goal. Each member should understand that this is a team effort and that no one person should take credit for the project but allow everyone to share in the success and failures as they become apparent. Make every resource available to your team, and no idea should be a bad idea, allowing members to try new ideas, to think outside the box can only better the outcome in any situation.…

My experience with being a leader in the groups that we did was a great learning experience. I learned a lot not only about myself, but also about what it is like to be the leader of a group. Leading a group was harder than I thought it would be and knowing how to start, what activities or techniques to use and what to say or do next was also harder than I thought.…

As a major participant in my school’s music program, I have been given quite a few leadership opportunities. In the marching band, I am the music and drill manager and attended weekly student leader meetings and I am an officer for my school chorus. The biggest issue we tackled at the student leader meeting was effective leading. My section leader was often absent, and as the only other student leader from my section, I took on his role when he wasn't there. I lead very actively and found it was a great success. Students from other sections often came to me when they had questions instead of their own leaders because I gave them direct answers or did what was needed to get answers. When someone was wrong, I told them politely; when someone…
