Halloween short story
A little girl wandered through the child-filled streets in her fairy costume. Her short dirty blonde hair fell on either side of her rosy cheeks which showed the purest of innocence. Just like every other Halloween night her green eyes sparked with excitement.
Her name was Bianca, Halloween is the one thing she looked forward to all year round, seeing the houses decorated, feeling the breeze of fall brushing against her body and the wondrous scent of candy, all these things brought joy to her. Every house she had been to was so generous towards her, she could never be happier. However she came across one particular house, it was old and rusty and had no decoration, no scent of candy and no sight of people. Only by pure curiosity, she skipped her way through the poorly cut lawn and onto the doorstep, she rang the bell as much as her delicate fingers could handle, waiting anxiously for a response. The door slowly began to open, and the light that came with it helped the girl to be able to see her surroundings more clearly. “Hello, little girl,” said the female behind the door “You’re looking for candy huh?” Bianca nodded enthusiastically, flashing the girl with her white set of teeth. “Well, you’re not getting any.”
Bianca felt her eyes well up, but then instead of being upset she felt angry, why would someone be so cruel to her on her favourite holiday? The anger rose as reminisced the smug smile the girl had as she slammed the door onto her face, she felt like she wanted to explode, but then something strange happened, she felt her body boiling like she was made completely out of water, she noticed her legs changing shape, her hair became longer and darker as she became bigger and tougher, she became so big her fairy dress began to tear apart, her nails became sharper and so did her teeth. The anger rose higher and higher till she could no longer take it anymore; she became the creature of the night.
