Growing up, I was always viewed as a person that didn’t like any type of socialization. I was portrayed as a quiet, nerdy, reserved individual that had very limited conversations with those around me. Unfortunately, the people that said this about me were wrong. In reality, if I were to describe myself to someone that doesn’t know me, I would tell them that I’m a very outgoing, laid back, intelligent, trustworthy, responsible, friendly, funny, outspoken, and social individual.…

The above scoring summary indicates a blended ethical perspective. According to the summary, if ones secondary score is within a point or two of the primary score then "…(a) you are experiencing an internal conflict in attempting to function in two distinguishable moral realms, or (b) your ethical style is a blend of two categories" (University of Phoenix, 2003). Based upon my own beliefs, understanding of my management style, and ethical perspective, I believe that my ethical perspective is a blend of two of more categories. Personally, I believe that I not only embody the four pillars of the National Honor Society, but try to instill these character traits into others in order to better both them and the MATES community as a whole. As reflected by my grades and the privilege of applying to the MATES NHS chapter, scholarship is something that I value heavily, as I give 100% at everything I do, whether that be a game in gym or a hard test, and even though I may not be perfect I try my hardest to learn from my mistakes and improve both academically and personally. Furthermore I am both trustworthy and responsible, as I have never forgotten any homework throughout my career at MATES. I also enjoy helping others, which is why I volunteer at the library to be a reading…

I see myself as someone who is expressive. I am an outgoing girl and I find making friends to be a simple task. However, I am one of those people who will not fully open up to you unless I know I am comfortable. I am an open book, as long as the person reading me takes it one page at a time and doesn't jump chapters. I believe that I am this was because of how I grew up. I learned early on that you can't trust everyone you know, and you can't keep toxic people around. Day in and day out at school, I always tried to fit the mold of the stereotypical highschool student. Timid and shy, but more than willing to fit in with everyone else. Finally as a senior I have realized it is more important to be seen as yourself than as a copy of everyone else…
