Before Othello kills Desdemona he talks about her purity and what horrible beast and the monster he is. Othello shows the regret he has that he killed Desdemona. Othello states," O Desdemona! Desdemona dead! Oh!Oh!Oh!"(5,2). This is when Othello regret that he killed Desdemona. Othello also shows regret when he states,"I am not valiant neither, But ever puny whipster gets my sword" (5,2). Othello states that he is not valiant and brave and that he does not deserve this sword because anybody could take it. Othello also tells the audience that he killed a purely human and that he just,"threw a pearl away"(5,2) ant that he just killed his wife without knowing what she was worth. Othello is also seen as a tragic hero because he accepts his fate. Othello knows that he has destroyed his soul by killing Desdemona and that if he lives he will be locked up. Wen Othello states,"But why should honor outlive honesty?Let it go all" (5,2). Othello states that he lost his reputation because of honour and asks himself why his honour the should last. Furthermore, Othello has to restore order by dying an honourable death. Othello has disturbed the chain of being by marrying a vanishon woman in a higher class.
