if i ruled th world
If I ruled the world?
Gosh
That’s a bit of a big question
Don’t you think?
If I ruled the world…
I don’t know what I’d do first
There’s so much I’d want to do
I suppose I’d have to take
Some therapy sessions first
Work out with a therapist
About how I don’t become a dictator
And kill loads of people
After I’ve got all that worked out
Well, then I guess I
Get back to this
Figuring out what to fix first business
I wouldn’t force anyone to believe something
That’s for sure
It would be like a democracy
Except I rule over everything
Okay, maybe not a democracy
Scratch that
I’d be a kind empress
Let’s go with that
But I’d listen to the people
I wouldn’t say “BELIEVE THIS!!!”
Shove it down their throats
I would make laws, though
And they’d have to be abided
I’d rather like to keep free speech
Would outlawing book burning mess with free speech?
Hmm
Probably
Scratch that, too
I’d give a good scolding to anyone who did it, though
And outlawing war
Well, who the hell is going to listen to that anyway?
I’d probably break that law myself
(Hey, no one’s perfect)
Maybe I’d have scientists work extra hard
On making electric cars that look great
And help save our environment
Yeah
Yeah, I like that
Get all of the scientists together
And combine the treasuries of the world
So I can pay for-
Oh
But I’d rather like to set a worldwide law
Where gay marriage is legal
And I’d like to feed the hungry
And give a home for the homeless
Hmm
You know
This “what would you do first” business
Is harder than I thought it would be
Hey
Why am I even struggling so hard with this?
It’s not like I’m ever going to rule the world
What’s the big deal?
I think I’ll go worry about something else
Like that homework that’s due
Or the fact that I’m slightly hungry
Yeah
That food thing is the most pressing, actually
I’m going to get something to eat
Maybe I’ll get back to you when
I’ve had a chicken sandwich
After all
I can’t rule the world
If

During the late 1600s and the to the mid-1700s, countries fought for land and power in order to have global domination. While several countries fought for the same cause, resolving their diffrerences was nearly impossible, and this often led to more wars and conflicts. One of the many conflicts concerned the domination of North America. While many European powers competed for control of North America, Britain gained the most territory through the four French and Indian wars, King William's War, Queen Anne's War, King George's War, and the French and Indian War. As these wars progressed, Britain achieved the most success and eventually became the most dominant power in North America.…

America, for many years, was ripe with discrimination against everyone who was not white. It was almost like a tangible attempt to create a new world order. Politics and laws assisted this negative thought process, but on the surface were displayed to unify our country. Underneath the surface, people of different nationalities were treated as a sub-species, less than human, and not granted the rights given by the constitution and new laws in effect to make them true members of society.…

The persistent theme of A Separate Peace is the deterioration of a complex friendship. The bond between two boys (Finny and Gene) becomes tested and attacked, as the reader observes a seemingly utopian relationship fall into decadence. Gene becomes challenged with various inner hostilities, while Finny, his proclivity for athletics revoked, has been forced to find acceptability and provocation elsewhere. Furthermore, the book commences during mid-to-late 1942, during the height of the Axis powers' success. The effect of stress and tension on the camaraderie of the boys becomes elevated.
