EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Intercultural management is also called as cross cultural management. It is very important to know about other cultures where diversity exists as it helps companies run rewarding efficient, effective and highly productive organizations. There are many aspects of intercultural management that have direct and significant impacts on both employees’ and the company’s performance. Time management, relationships between the employees, ways to deal with individualism and collectivism and management style are important aspects of intercultural management that company should learn and adopt from other cultures. In order to acquire these important and essential aspects of intercultural management companies should be inquisitive, open and flexible. The new learning and implementations help companies reach their goals. To be a successful organization, companies need to make their employees feel valued and respected. Good intercultural management policies and practices help companies make it comfortable for their employees to work even under challenging and demanding work environment.

1. INTRODUCTION

Intercultural management involves managing diverse cross cultural workforce. Dianne Shaddock defines that “Intercultural management describes the ability of a supervisor to productively communicate and work with employees from a range of cultures.”
