What is a tragic hero? A tragic hero is defined as a great or virtuous character in a dramatic tragedy who is destined for downfall, suffering, or defeat. All People make mistakes and everyone wants to be accepted , but sometimes that just doesn’t happen and not all heroes are “Perfect”than you expect.
John Proctor in The Crucible is a clever, and stubborn guy but as well as a respected man in Salem his name is very well honored.He goes to church pretty much every week. Proctor is a good father to his children and he wants to show them how to stick up for yourself and to not throw your friends under the bus if something bad happens. “I have three children—how may I teach them to walk like men in the world, and I sold my friends?”.All Proctor
