CheckPoint: Modes of Travel
It is plenty ways to travel when going on vacation or business trips. You can take a car, bus, boat or an airplane. It really depends on how fast you want to arrive at your destination. Some people choose to arrive fast so they will take an airplane; some people like to sight see they prefer to take a car, bus, or train.
Travel by Airplane When you are traveling by airplane it would cost a family of five going from Mobile, Alabama to Orlando Florida for a week would cost $2411.50 just for airfare. When you are booking a vacation you can get a package deal that will sometimes include airfare, hotel and rental car all for one price.
Traveling by Bus When you want to take a trip and you want to see the countryside you can take a bus to get there. When you are taking a bus it will usually take you longer to arrive at your destination. When you are traveling by bus from Mobile, Alabama to Orlando Florida, it would cost a family of five, $740.00 for round trip bus fare.
Traveling by Car You can travel by car and you can save some money to use for your vacation. When you are traveling by car you from Mobile, Alabama to Orlando Florida it would cost you the price of gas and your food. When traveling by car you can expect to spend at least $150.00 plus on gas alone. You might spend less money on gas but that depends on what kind of gas mileage you get. When traveling by car you can take your time and plan other activities along the way. You can plan your route that you would want to take for you can stop and sight sees. When you are planning a trip you would want to decide how you would want to travel and how fast you want to arrive at your destination. You will want to plan all your cost and what you might want to do along the way. When I am traveling I really like drive the car because I can stop when I want to and eat, shop or just sight see.

To travel to any place, for example, from UPLB to Enchanted Kingdom, one may take the jeepney or drive his private vehicle. Of course, this trip must have been planned and prepared for beforehand. Either through commute or carpool, land transportation generally use automobiles powered by fuel that pass through roads that lead to a specific destination. A driver or a commuter must know where he must go and how to get there, maybe through road signs or the use of a map to be even more precise. Most of the time, not being able to meet the two requisites will lead him astray.…

    2. Tim is planning a summer vacation for his family of five to Disney World in Florida. He lives in Pennsylvania and is trying to figure out whether it could be more cost effective to drive to Florida or to fly there.: I think flying and driving to florida would be less cost effective but at the same time I'm thinking flying would be the less cost effective because you can buy 5 round trips: one that takes you and brings you back with one airplane ticket. Because if you drive you'd have to stop for gas and food for the road-trip and it would cost more.…

Traveling can be a hassle, especially if you are planning a trip for a big family, or even just for a couple’s getaway. In the United States, many people assume that planning a vacation locally is more convenient simply because they can easily get on a car and go. However, it can be as easy to get in a plane and travel to a foreign country instead of staying in the same country, and this can be even cheaper than taking a local vacation. Off course, it is true that some countries are even more expensive than the United States, but there are many countries around the world that are very cheap, and a two or three-week vacation in one of those countries, including the plane tickets, would cost less for the same amount of the time spending in almost any city in the U.S. for a vacation.…

The most important reason I would rather drive than fly is because it saves me money. For instance, I tend to travel to Atlanta several times a year on short notice. If I was to fly, it would cost $400-$500, and it would take up to three hours; however, when I drive it takes a few hours longer but cost me $200 at the…

Our family consists of two adults and one child and the cost of the airline tickets would be $1,944.60 for all of us to fly, which is $648.20 per person (Travelocity). Instead of flying we could decide to drive the 2,131 miles to San Diego (MapQuest). This decision has other things to factor in when deciding the cost of driving. Should we rent a car, or decide to put the miles and wear and tear on our car? Renting a standard size car for two weeks would cost $510.58 (Travelocity). The cost of gas would also factor into the price of driving. The average price of a gallon of gas is $3.63 from Indiana to San Diego (Gas buddy). So driving the family car would cost$740.52. Going the rented car route and rented a 2013 Nissan Maxima, gas would cost $595.32 (Fuel economy).Flying would cost a flat total of $1,944.60. On the other hand, driving the family car would cost $740.52 just for gas. Renting a car plus gas would cost $1,105.90. Unless your family does not worry about money, this factor might not even matter.…

    Travel Broadens the Mind

To travel also means to communicate. To meet new people with different personalities and perspective. They show you their views on life, their likes and dislikes, their preferences, etc. Traveling enables you to become aware of differences in lifestyle - whether they are regional or national - and to learn how different people interact and generally what they base their ideas on. Traveling lets people explore their own customs and way of life, and appreciate their countries' history and traditions. Traveling introduces new ideas that can change your opinions on different topics and help you to become more open minded about things you would normally disapprove of, such as exploring different political situations in countries you visit. Travel also teaches you independence, because it allows you to escape the familiar surroundings of home and stay in a strange or alien place. Additionally, our minds are broadened by the simple absorption of information, images, memories, etc. Travel allows us to experience new things as well as new sides to ourselves. We might see something new in ourselves or discover new interests.…

Car, a means of crossing countries, is the cheapest and the most enjoyable mode of travelling as it gives an opportunity to discover the wonderful world with its beauty, charm and adventures. Car is considered to be the cheapest means of travelling. When people use their own car, they just pay for fuel, they don’t have to pay for additional services. Or rent a car, they will have to pay more for the rent. But anyway it costs cheaper than any other means of transportation. Using a car you get some privacy which makes the tour enjoyable. For example, you can go wherever you want, you only need a map or GPS system. You can stop wherever you want to take photographs, to have a rest, to admire the surrounding beauty. You can also turn your radio on to dismantle stress and have fun and nobody will get angry with you. Whatever your views, there is no doubt that travelling by car is a widespread means of moving from some places to others. The next form is transportation by ship.…
