Module 9: Critical Vehicle Systems
1. Which mechanical part or feature listed in Module 9 do you think is most important? I think that the most important feature to me is the seat belt.

2. Why is that particular part or feature so important? The reason I think this is because in case of an accident, it will prevent me from flying through the window and could save my life.

3. How do you benefit from that part or feature? I benefit from this because it can save my life and other lives whenever an accident occurs.

Being the Driver:

1. Drink and drive
2. Text and dive
3. Use my phone while driving

1. I will not do these things for my safety. If I do these things while driving I could get into a car accident and harm myself and others.

1. I will focus on the road
2. I will pay attention to the road signs
3. I will pay attention to the other cars around me

Explain why you will do these particular things when driving.
1. I will do these things so that I don’t get into an accident and so that I stay safe on the road.

Riding as a Passenger:
Explain one thing you will stop doing as a passenger.
1. One thing I will stop doing as a passenger is distracting the driver. If I distract the driver we could get an accident.

Explain one thing you will start doing as a passenger.
1. One thing that I will start doing as a passenger is to help the driver if he/she needs to call or text someone so that they can pay attention to the road.
