Favorite Teacher Descriptive Essay

My favorite teacher would have to be my former co-teacher, Mr. Adrian. He was practically the reason that adored going to work everyday. Mr. Adrian had been married for 8 years, had no children, was and only child himself and had never worked a day in his life was unlike any other person that I had ever met. When I was around him I felt like a child that never endured a dull moment. Mr. Adrian and I worked together in an after-school program. In our classroom we had children from ages 5 to 13 from all different backgrounds and lifestyles. Each day I went to work I was absolutely ready to see how the day would go from start to finish. It didn't matter if I woke up on the wrong side of the bed each morning, when I went to work I knew I was going to have a good day. My day started at 6:30 Monday thru Friday. Our first task was to pick up children who needed transportation from home to the childcare center. We always had to wake up before talking with each other, but once we started conversation, there was no ending it. We talked and joked about the work day before, what we were going to do that particular day, laughed at what was on the radio and laughed at each-other. As soon as we started to have fun we were pulling back into the childcare center parking lot. What I loved best about Mr. Adrian was that he was a real joker. Each afternoon he would come into the center, clock in and then we would began our transportation route from the public schools back to the center. Once we were in the center, I would direct all of the children down the hall into our classroom. We usually were back at the center by 4:15 in the afternoons, so on a daily basis Mr. Adrian would park our bus, check the school kitchen for any leftover snacks and then sit in the restroom until about 5:15. As some people say, out of sight out of mind and when you think of it, he was just like that.

Shoemaker’s class I had recess. Since my friends and I usually didn’t get down to the gym fast enough, we didn’t always get a ball to mess around with. So we instead decided to stay in her class during that time. We had loads of fun creating memories upon memories that will never be forgotten. Memories like when we put on impaired driving goggles and stumbled over everything. Memories of us eating all her yummy peanut butter filled pretzels and asking for help on assignments. I had grammar with a different teacher but if I did not understand something, I would ask Mrs. Shoemaker. She would always explain the homework to me. Also, if I had to write an essay she would help me and then look over it for mistakes. Making me a stronger person today, Mrs. Shoemaker never let me give…

Memorable teachers are not the ones, who are the most pleasant to their students, but they are not the toughest ones either, they are the one that make you work for your knowledge, and you appreciate it, naturally much later in life. Mrs. Wright was very kind, compassionate, and honest no matter what the subject was or how she thought we were doing in school. She would always search for ways on how someone could improve. She has the skills to make you want to perform better, and continuously work to improve. This teacher had the passion to teach, and loved working with students, wonderful and necessary qualities to hold. She was eager to do whatever it took for a student to be successful, and to succeed in his or her classes. She always had a positive attitude, and strived for success. She would always say hello, ask about your day, tell you to have a wonderful day no matter what the day bring or crosses your path. She knew, and learn quickly that I have test anxiety, knew I always studied for hours on end, knew I knew the answers too, but once a test was placed before me, my mind would go blank, still does to a degree. She taught me some great testing strategies, ones that I still use day. This teacher was very inspirational, and gave you the courage to strive for success. Something I hope to match in my teaching…

Over the course of my years of schooling I have had many teachers. I’ve had some of the best such as my fifth grade teacher, Mr. Moore, who taught me how to learn math, my eighth grade science teacher, Mrs. Turner, who taught me to have fun in school, but still be serious, my tenth grade chemistry teacher, Mrs. Huggins, who made class hard also made it enjoyable at the same time. The best teacher I have ever had thought taught me one of the most important things in life, how to write. She may not have been the nicest lady as she gave me my first detention in ten years of school. (To this day it was still my only detention) Her class was the second hardest class I ever had in my four years of high school; the only thing harder was AP psychology,…
