1. Why is Friar Laurence reluctant to marry Paris to Juliet?
Friar Laurence is reluctant to marry Paris to Juliet as he knows that Juliet is already married to Romeo. He also infers from Paris’s and Juliet’s conversation that she is just faking her love for Paris in order to please her father.
