Animals deserve the same rights as people because they can feel pain; therefore, everyone in the world should become vegetarians.
Animals do not deserve the same rights as humans. If so then we should give plants and vegetables rights as well. We kill a lot more plants then we do animals, so I believe that everyone should eat strictly meat only.
America should not act as a “World Policeman” because it has enough domestic issues of its own to deal with.
Even though America has a lot bases throughout the world, this does not mean that we are the world Policeman. We are just helping our allies so we could keep trading with these countries for natural Resources.
Immigration should be allowed without any caps because it brings in skilled workers and increases the cultural variety of American Society.
If we decided to take the cap off on immigration then we can see a lot more businesses hiring cheaper labor which means the unemployment percentage will go up and cause us to have another great depression.
Parents should never be held responsible for the crimes of their juvenile children because children should be held responsible for their own actions, even if it means trying them as an adult.
Parents should be held responsible for their kids because it is their job to raise them and look after them. If they were watching their kids then their kids probably wouldn’t be committing crimes.

What about the minors sitting in adult prisons? What about them? Children still in the care of their parents or other guardians. It brings up the question of if parents/guardians should be held accountable for the child's behavior. Let’s look at the responsibility of parents. In the article, What Are We Teaching Our Girls, Martha Cartwright starts by describing the history of beauty pageants. She states that the first pageants were not only about judging contestants on their outward appearance. The pageants also judged contestants on how respectable they were as a person. She says that beauty pageant winners once were viewed as positive role models for younger girls. They were models to show young girls what a well-rounded woman should be like. These role models were used to show girls that being beautiful on the outside is not everything…

America is a country that is well known for its power. Some may believe that America “polices” the world. Which in my opinion I do not think that’s necessarily wrong. Whenever there is an issue around the world America is always trying to help for the most part. The US shows dominance over other countries and it’s been that way for a majority of the time.…

Animal rights are rights that affect all of us on a daily basis whether we realize it or not. From protecting the animals themselves from inhumane testing and living situations to climate change, the rights of animals are highly debated and are very controversial. People who are passionate about animal rights are typically vegan meaning that they do not consume and typically avoid products made by or with animal products of all sorts. This lifestyle choice is becoming more popular thus making it much easier to abide by. On the other hand, there are many people who still live by the much more primitive means of hunting. Some of these people believe humans are the top of the food chain and that humans have natural…

If young girls have a choice they are able to decide if they would like to be a pageant girl stuck with routines, makeup caked to their faces, and getting up at the early hours to compete all day at a pageant. Young girls that compete in pageants would have the choice if they wanted to lead a normal life and play sports and go to public school if they wanted to. I think that there should be no infant or toddler pageants unless they are natural pageants so that the young girls don't have to be put through all of the beauty routines that adults preform every day. Beauty pageants have allowed young girl to think that they have to be beautiful. Pageants teach kids that beauty is on the outside and not the inside.…

Why do you think people join beauty pageants? What is the purpose? They cause stress and by the end of it, heartbreak. Everybody that competes in them just looks like a plastic barbie doll. At the end of the day, contestants start feeling like one also. Most of the time they step on people’s self esteem and make them feel worthless, even the ones for children, possibly for the rest of their life. Beauty pageants should no longer persist in America due to its outcome on most beauty pageant contestants and their self-esteem.…

    Ethics of Eating Meat

Some supporters of meat may argue that animals are not fully capable of experiencing pain or that their brains are smaller so they cannot be regarded with the same importance as humans. However, studies have shown that animals such as pigs experience the same neurological effects brought by pain and trauma as humans. The difference between the killing of humans and animals is morally irrelevant. Killing an animal without the need to survive should be morally placed on the same level as killing an infant or human with disabilities. Both the animal and the disabled human have the same level of perceived rationality,…

All the nutrition needed from meat can come from foods such as walnuts, peanuts, soy, eggplant, tofu, eggs and hummus. Another common misconception is that animals kill other animals in order to survive. They don’t have a choice. We do. Bottom line, if we believe that the interest of all living things that can suffer should be treated equally, then we need to treat the interests of animals equally. They don't want to suffer, they don’t want to be killed and we don’t have worthwhile reason to do it. Sure they might taste good, but we can't do what we want to animals just to get some physical pleasure out of it.…

We have evolved from being a weak and foolish species that struggled to obtain any type of animal meat, into a species that is now capable of getting meat by simply driving to a nearby grocery store. As the years have passed by humans have assumed the positions as the dominant race on planet Earth. With this authority we are faced with many moral and ethical issues in which we are responsible for discussing with the entire human population. The moral issue we will be focusing on is whether it is our obligation as humans to expand the circle of morality to include nonhumans. This statement simply asks us to what extent will we allow for animal to have rights, are we obligated to accept nonhuman animals to be on the same level as we are. I myself…

If America became the police man of the West or the policeman of the world, it would provide us with many benefits. In my opinion I think America should be the policeman of the world. Being a policeman of the world will benefit us tremendously, it will give us materials, power, alliances, and we will gain territory. If we were only a western power we wouldn’t influence the word as much as I we do today. Being a world power might contribute to some of the problems we have, but we still gain more than we lose. Who would be the policeman of the world if we wouldn’t The Soviet Union (Russia)? Putting world matters into an unstable country is a unthoughtful idea, who knows what could happen if Russia was the police man of the world because I sure…

A beauty pageant is a competition that is based solely on physical attributes but often includes talent, personality and question and answer portions. Most beauty pageants are made for women especially young girls at the age of five. Although beauty pageants are seemingly harmless and just provokes the competitive side of women, it should not be welcomed to young girls at age ten and below because (a) beauty pageants set their own definition of what is beautiful, (b) it may affect their future outlook in life, and (c) it is a form of abuse to young girls.…

I think this topic is interesting and also sad. With girls only having a few short years to feel completely confident with themselves before society begins to criticize them, I believe that this time of development is essential in developing a strong and confident teenager. Beauty pageants seem to be stripping girls of their innocence too fast, which leaves these girls at a risk for psychological and physical abuse that will stay with them for years to come.…
