He was walking back home from a card game when an officer confronted him because he thought he looked suspicious. According to the officer Gunn started to run. Then the officer hit him with a baton and shot him 5 times, and killed him. The officer has been charged, and arrested with a bail of $150,000, but the investigation is still going on. Sure, he got arrested, but he still has a good chance of getting out. Gregory Gunn was racially profiled, and killed and he wasn't even armed. Somebody that would say these men got what they should have expected is wrong because in a case like Alton Sterling, where he got killed because the police officer found out he was armed and Sterling was struggling on the ground, shooting him was not the right thing to do. That's because his hands weren't even near the gun and he was just fidgeting around like any other person who is getting pinned down and tackled would do. Also using criminal records as an excuse for officers to be right for whatever they did is wrong, because it really doesn't prove anything. Just because somebody has a criminal record, doesn't mean they are always committing a crime. Another thing somebody against “Black Lives Matter” would say is, “All Lives Matter”. Of course, “All Lives Matter”, but black lives are not being treated how they should be for “All “Lives” to matter. We hear about black men and women getting killed by cops so much, we are getting used to it. That's not something we should be getting used to. If “All Lives” really mattered to everybody we wouldn't be having this
