Problems with My Apartment
Problems with My Apartment When I was younger, I fantasized about how wonderful life would be when I moved into my own apartment. Now I’m a bit older and wiser, and my dreams have turned into nightmares. In fact, my apartment has given me nothing but headaches. From the day I signed the lease, I’ve had to deal with an uncooperative landlord, an incompetent janitor, and rude neighbors.

FIRST PARAGRAPH OF BODY TOPIC SENTENCE: First of all, my landlord has been very uncooperative. Major Point #1: He is inflexible when it comes to paying the rent on time. Specific detail(s):

Major Point #2: He has also been uncooperative about replacing some items in my apartment.

Major Point #3: Also, he has no respect for my privacy. Specific detail(s)

SECOND PARAGRAPH OF BODY TOPIC SENTENCE: I’ve had a problem not only with my landlord but also with an incompetent janitor. Major Point #1: First of all, he is incredibly lazy.
Specific detail(s):

Major Point #2: Also, this janitor cannot fix anything without making the problem worse. Specific detail(s):

THIRD PARAGRAPH OF BODY TOPIC SENTENCE: However, the worst problem has been with the inconsiderate neighbors who live in the apartment directly above mine. Major Point #1: First of all, their children are extremely noisy. Specific detail(s):

Major Point #2: Furthermore, the parents are even louder than their children. Specific detail(s):

Major Point #3: To make matters worse, these neighbors have been very rude and ignored all my requests for their cooperation. Specific detail(s):

CONCLUDING PARAGRAPH Sometimes my apartment seems like a small, friendly oasis surrounded by hostile enemies. I never know where the next problem is going to come from next—the landlord, the janitor, or the neighbors. Home may be where the heart is, but I am giving serious consideration to moving

    My current household consists of my girlfriend Carolyn, two dogs (13 year old Pug Ferris and 10 year old Corgi Freddy), a kitten (6 month old Laney) and myself. The animals are for the most part a joy to experience, but the corgi has been exhibiting aggressive behavioral problems that have caused a great deal of concern, additional training, and medication. Carolyn and I enjoy spending time together and continuing to grow as partners, playing with our animals, traveling, and visiting with family both nearby and further away. We live in an open and spacious two bedroom apartment in a multi-unit complex that has a variety of recreational activities available on the grounds. There are a variety of ethnicities, age ranges and family structures represented in the complex. The apartment is within walking distance of a variety of retail and commercial offerings. We also live minutes from my workplace, the school satellite campus and major highways.…
