Process Analysis Essay
Have you ever wondered how some people are so head over heels for their significant other? Or even worse, if they are in “love”. When looking for the answer, the first idea one should consider is what love really is. Love, is a passionate affection for another person. For some, that might be enough explanation, others of us need more specifics. Exploring some examples can help you find out if someone you know is truly in love.

When first beginning to fall in love, a common occurrence between a couple is spending all of their time together. You may hear things such as, “I wish I was with him right now.” and “I wonder what she’s doing.” Eventually your friend may confide in you only to come out and say, “I just wish we could be together all the time.” After you swallow your vomit, all you can do is nod your head. Disagreeing or even suggesting that would not be a good idea, could strain the friendship. If after that confession, you are questioning the friendship you may want to tell your friend that they are crazy.

Your crazy friend will become obsessed, if not already. During the time you are able to steal them away from their significant other expect to hear all about their Thursday night adventure to the nearest cinema. You might even hear an ever so sarcastic-but-not, “I might be obsessed.” Don’t expect to get a word in, especially about your love life. Remember, they are in LOVE. They don’t want to hear about your depressing life. It is likely that your friend will briefly notice that they have been doing all of the talking and ask a question or leave an extra long pause during while consorting. During this time don’t say anything serious. Keep it light. Your friend will likely end up talking more about their significant other. Mention a new restaurant you went to or maybe something about the weather. When spending time with your friend you have to realize it’s nothing personal. Think about how happy your friend is and try to forget about how you will

My name is Christy Hitt. I am a mother of two wonderful daughters who are now grown, married and have children of their own, and yes that makes me a grandmother. I travel with my husband as his job requires him to do. I work with a physician on a remote desktop and have access to the business computer wherever I go. I have been working in the medical field for fourteen years now. The medical field is rapidly changing in every aspect of the word. It is getting harder and more stressful to try and figure out all the changes on my own. I talked with my husband about possibly me going back to school to obtain more knowledge in medical billing and coding. My husband thought this would be a great idea and backed me 100 percent. The only worry was how I was going to handle my fulltime job, moving every three to six months to a different state, taking care of our home in Florida and school work. My husband assured me that we would figure out a way that we could accomplish this and make time for me to study. So, I started my online studies with Penn Foster to obtain my Associates degree in Healthcare Management. I wake up around 4:30 in the morning to help my husband get ready for his day, which would include getting the coffee going, making lunch and of course trying to wake him up; the man sleeps like a rock. I then have to get myself ready for my day. As I am booting up my computer, my Internet goes out, how convenient. Now, I have to call the cable company to come out as soon as possible to get it fixed, as my work and school both require me to be connected to an Internet service. I start by calling the patients and reminding them about their appointments for the following day; this can be time consuming and often takes a good part of the day as we see approximately fifty patients a day. I can see the insurance aging is getting behind and that is something I have to work on today, as this is how we get paid. I also have to do re-credentialing for our Medicaid and…

There are several different types of advertising in the world today, like newspaper ads and magazine ads. Then there are commercials, they can be very manipulative in persuading specific audiences to buy their products. In the Pepsi Next “Dancing Baby” commercial, they use what is called a trick image. It is the funniest part of the commercial and is what makes it so appealing. This trick image is the baby in the back ground dancing and doing tricks; it is very eye catching and hilarious in my opinion. This commercial uses different types of appeals to make it more interesting. The husband and wife mention some of the statistics about the product to help enhance Pepsi Next. The target audience is parents of children six months to one year of age and new mothers trying to lose weight. This commercial affects me positively because it is funny and the statistics are true.…

Henry Ford once said, “Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal.” In Eudora Welty 's short story "A Worn Path,” a figure of an old African-American woman, Phoenix Jackson, emerges. As she makes her way toward town in a path she seems to have taken many times before, she has to overcome many obstacles. She represents struggle, but most of all she represents determination. Every move she makes seems to be a slow, gradual move towards her goal. The story gives insight to the persistence and boldness of Phoenix Jackson’s life to emphasize the struggle in other people’s lives.…

In the article “Making the world safe for stupidity”, Leonard Pitts Jr., columnist for The Miami Herald, claims that marketers believe we are “feeble-mindedness” because of the “idiot warnings” that are on most advertisements. Pitts supports his claim by outlining all advertisements that have “idiot warnings” on them. For example he uses “Like a bread-pudding container that says, “Product will be hot after heating.”” This is to show how marketers believe that we are naïve and don’t have common sense. Then, he changes his claim to “Corporate America is to blame because they have damaged the human species”. Pitts’ purpose is to point out that marketers believe we are idiots in order for readers to see why “idiot warnings” were created. He establishes a disappointing and sarcastic tone for his readers to disapprove and laugh with him.…

Imagine yourself at three years old. What would you be doing? Would your mom be hovering over you making sure you didn’t hurt yourself or get into any trouble? Or would you be downstairs in the living room watching the television and playing with your Barbie dolls? At the age of three Jeannette Wall’s was cooking hot dogs while her mother painted in the next room. In The Glass Castle, the developing theme of the book is self-sufficiency, which is a topic that emerges many times thought the narrative. For Instance some of the major contributive elements from the story are, how the Walls parents promoted the self-sufficiency of their children, having to learn to protect themselves as well always having each other’s backs. At such a young age these children had to learn that their parents would not always provide and protect them, so they needed to learn to do so on their own.…

Laundry is a daily chore that must be done. I do not know of anyone who enjoys the daily ritual of cleaning clothes but with a few easy steps it does not have to be such a hassle. There is also some pre-planning steps you can take that will save you time and frustration. The first and most important step in the laundry process is to be prepared. Make sure you have all the supplies you need to get the job done before you get started. You will need laundry detergent. You can buy powder or liquid detergent, but I prefer liquid because powder detergent does not always dissolve completely and you can substitute liquid detergent for stain remover in a pinch. You will also need a stain remover, such as Shout, and bleach. Bleach now comes in a color safe version so you can use it on all your clothes, not just whites. I also recommend using a liquid fabric softener in the wash but you will need sheets for the dryer as well. Most washing machines have a place to put it or you can buy a ball that goes in the washer and releases the fabric softener at the right time. Also, you will need a basket for your dirty clothes to go in.. I keep several so I can sort them as they get dirty instead of digging through one basket to get a load. Once you have all your supplies you are ready to start. Depending on what you are washing you will need to adjust the setting on your washer. For example towels can be washed on heavy duty but finer linens such as silks need a more delicate setting. Start the washer and add the detergent and any bleach as the water begins to fill. If you do not already have your laundry separated in baskets, you will need to go through everything to get a load ready. Like colors and fabrics…

How we choose to govern ourselves has taken many forms throughout world history. From dictatorships to democracies, the rulers and the ruled struggle for power. This struggle was a topic Orwell wrote about often, including his essay “Shooting an Elephant.” Leaders are always seeking ways to maintain control over the people and in some societies this has resulted in very authoritarian rulers. The notion that individual thought is dangerous creates fear and citizens begin to, as Orwell writes, “wear a mask and his face grows to fit it” (Orwell 288). From there it can quickly turn into a totalitarian state. In this totalitarian state of power, there are fewer checks and balances, which makes it easier for the governments to export that set of ideals to foreign countries. There are many examples of this throughout history such as the Spanish in Latin America, the British in India, and the rise of Nazi Germany. For Eric Blair, or as we know him, George Orwell, it was his experiences in the British Raj that greatly influences his life and writing. As a British Imperial Policeman in Burma, Eric Blair faced a daily struggle trying to exist in a society that hated him even as he hated himself. For him, the escape was to put on the mask and bury his thoughts.…

Ultimately, true friends will show their affection through honesty, parallel pastimes, and sharing. Without honesty, a friendship is built on lies; likewise, a friendship lacking similar interests can prove uninteresting. Sharing food, an opinion, or even an idea can show that someone truly cares. Although a friendship does not rest on these characteristic, a companionship with these attributes will prove more enjoyable. As Proverbs 27:17 says, “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” Choose a friend that will sharpen the iron, not devalue…
