Assignment Brief
Start to understand the principles and values that you will need to work in health and social care by helping to organise an event that builds relationships, is advertised and communicated to all people, everyone who is included in the event is treated with respect and equality and ensuring everyone can have independence within their needs. That covers all facilities, needs of people and items expected and needed, concentrating on catering for everyone.

Task 1 (P1) a, Inclusive means to include and cover all needs of people, facilities and items expected and needed.
Diversity means a range and variety of different people or objects.

b, I could advertise the sports day using: * Posters: have to make it appealing for the intended audience, and have to make it suitable so it will get the right reaction from everybody else especially if I were to put it up in a school * Email/Letter: saying the same thing but different ways to get it to the people I need it to. * Word of mouth: Ask people to tell others about it * Poster in local shops * Ask to put an advert in the local newspaper * Ask the local radio to mention it * Ask blogs/websites to include it in one of their posts * Put an event on Facebook * Put inserts in the local paper * Tweet about it (on twitter) * Post leaflets through peoples doors

Task 1 (M1)
I would firstly advertise the sports day as a poster. I would put these up in the school because the parents/care givers will see these when picking up their children and will help to build up the children’s excitement if they keep seeing them around the school. I would put them up in local shops and around the area. This will help the whole community know what is happening and hopefully bring them to come and support the children.

A poster is a great way of getting people informed about the event and we can control

The other barrier in collaborative working is the lack of communication between the team members (Thistlewaite, 2012). Studies suggest that inter professional collaboration in health and social care is improved by effective communication between the health professions (Strudwick and Day, 2014). For example in this case, the communication with Anne helped the professionals to understand Anne’s health needs, and thus the team could plan the care to meet her needs (Strudwick and Day, 2014). Moreover, the health professionals were discussing their findings with each other to ensure that Anne is receiving a good quality care. This interaction also indicates that the team had a common goal, the safe and holistic care of Anne, and they were working…
