School Captain Speech
Almost all of these school captain speeches sound the same. They start off with a quote, put in a couple of jokes and try terribly hard to find the balance between inspiration and comedy…. This will be no different.

So what makes up a good captain speech? Basically I’ve got to get up here, be serious, but not too serious, funny but not over the top and caring but not too caring, because really if I want to impress you, I’ve got to figure out how to get up here, keep a smile on both my faces and yours, speak for three minutes and yet say nothing. I could do a rap like captains past but who am I kidding I ‘aint’ no 360. The fact is you may not care who the school captain is! But at the end of the day you want somebody who can look good in photos and say 3 sentences in a row that make reasonable sense, don’t you?

But what does a school captain actually do? Stand up at assembly, repeatedly tell the school to remain standing after a dodgy rendition of the national anthem, and then say in a fake voice “that concludes today’s assembly, please wait for your year coordinators”.

I believe a school captain should be more than just a fake voice over a loudspeaker, more than just a photo in a newsletter, I believe a school captain should feel a sense of pride in representing their school, in representing you.

The term captain is synonymous with the term leader. By definition, a leader is someone who is in an advanced position to take the initiative in order to go forth and show the way. A dance captain should be able to make intelligent and creative decisions quickly and efficiently. Being a dance team captain for the Mighty Marching Lions has so much more to do with choreography and precision. Because we are a part of a Christian marching band, our purpose and our duty to fulfill that purpose is ten times greater than that of a traditional marching band. Without God, we would not have this grand opportunity and because of that we have to do things differently than the world would. We as band members are all working towards a goal which is ministering and showing the world the power of youth through the will of God.…

The assembly was very inspiring. Eric Bostick was trying to inspire us by not letting anything stop us from our dreams. Then how we should be leaders not followers. Trying to achieve for better even if you have literally nothing but, if you trying as hard and depending how bad you want it you will succeed. For example, when you live in small apartment with very little money but you want to go to college try being in sport or academic scholarship. It really just depend how hard you really want it. Then with school try to be a leader show students the right way to act such as, someone you have no clue but always wanted to get to know even if they’re not in your usual clique or squad whatever they call it now a days you shouldn’t let it stop…

This essay will examine the nature of leadership by exploring the strengths and weaknesses of Admiral Horatio Lord Nelson (1758 - 1805). I have chosen Nelson as he is widely admired and celebrated as an effective leader and much of his dynamic approach to leadership can be translated into a practical model for today’s school leaders.…

I would like to be a Speech and Debate captain because I feel that I am committed to working, I yearn to teach, and I am capable of leading. In addition to the skills that I think I can offer, I also seek help benefit the team in more tangible fashions, such as through providing assistance to the new coach and giving afterschool practices more direction. Specifically, I think that as a captain I would be able to provide assistance to the new debate coach, Mike, through recruiting prospective students that Mike would otherwise have no prior connection with. Furthermore, I could also help to teach new recruits the basics and etiquette of debate and the general terminology so that they can acquire the most knowledge out of their lessons with Mike.…

    Type Of Captain Analysis

I have had my ups and downs throughout my journey of being a leader, but it has taught me a lot that has made me the type of person I am today. In my last semester of 8th grade, I tried out for the cheer team at Kennedy High School and made varsity. Each year we had a new set of captains, but each year they were all very arrogant and closed-minded. From the beginning, my goal was to become captain one day and be different than the past captains. Being the type of captain to help and mentor each individual through moments of frustration. My junior year, my coach gave me the opportunity to be one of four captains. Being the only junior captain, I felt intimidated to speak up and take charge of the team, this reflected badly on me, and my position…

It is the next part that I have fallen short over the years with my players. I was just doing what my coaches used to do and what I see in the movies. For example, “Miracle” is one of my favorite movies of all time and the pregame speech before the game against the Soviets is my favorite scene of any movie. There was an important element to that speech that I have missed before and I now include in every pregame speech. Coach Brooks says, “It is your time.”…

My teacher, is a great teacher and a humble man that I look up to because he is a teacher while serving our country in the army. I interviewed on his intake of leadership. He said that leadership is when a leader puts themselves in the position of their followers. I learned that as a leader I shouldn’t put myself over them in a way where I am like a dictator. Also that we are all equal and that we have a voice. Even though some of this is true, I disagree with the part that everyone has a voice because if they did then who will follow the leader if that leader has no followers.…

You mention the concept of supervisors being the observers and monitors-I think this is a very good explanation of the roles that they play in the education system. Because supervisors are not exactly hands-on, they do a lot of their observations with check lists and rubrics. They are responsible for ensuring that curriculum is being taught effectively and the monies and the budget for a school are allocated properly. A leader, however is a person (or group of people) manages others with guidance to make them better at the job they are implementing. A…
