Se Quay Song Analyse
10) Getting back together - Anh Se Quay Ve by Weboys
I enjoy listening to this song anyways as it is in my native language and one of my top childhood songs. The song is about a couple who is in love with each other but when the guy has to leave for the US, they broke up. He later returns and the love is still there. This is a very cute story and I love singing the lyrics that describes his feelings for her as he was away. If I broke up and get back together with my boyfriend, I would want this to be our scenario, that we broke up and got back together because of distance or circumstances, not because we wanted this. I also love how there are english lyrics sung with deep emotion in the song: “I will be back for you.” The music video for the song is also very heartwarming and brings a smile to my face whenever I think of it. If I got back together with my ex, I could listen to this song to remind me of my feelings for him. This song is a great song that evokes strong emotions from me and makes me think about love and how strong it is to overcome lots.
11) Alone in My Room - Solitary Hide-and-Seek Envy by Hatsune Miku
I enjoy the fact that this song is in Japanese because the language sounds great as I don’t understand most of it. I know what the song lyrics mean though and

And I was a High School Musical fan at some point. I’ll still sing to this song when it is played as it is a great song. The tune and is upbeat and the lyrics are very catchy. Not only that, it is super fun to sing along to, especially with my friends. The song hypes me up for the summer as it promises more sleep, parties, and no school. It talks about all the fun parts about summer that I can’t wait for. I can relate to the lyrics as it describes most of my past summers. The song would perfectly describe my feeling on the last day of school as it is of relief that school has ended and summer has

The Creative Song Assignment was an interesting assignment, because I have zero experience in mixing music. It was an interesting experience, because it did take me out of my comfort zone. When I first started, I felt lost. I had no idea what I was doing, so I decided to do a little research to see how I can best complete this assignment. I finally settled on using a program called Audacity and the genres of hip hop and alternative rock.…

    Song Representation

The song I chose to represent Creon is Pray by Sunny Hill. The song pray fits Creon because in several lines of lyrics fit regret and guilt of what Creon had done. A couple of the lines from the song related to Creon asking for Tiresias help but then not liking the answer, for example "Someone told me to pray to dream, that it will come true no matter what it is. Tell me everything- look at me and tell me, tell me to please stop." Inside Creon knew Tiresias was right telling him that punishing Antigone was the wrong thing to do, but Creon was to late to stop and realize his mistakes. Just like in the lyrics, Creon wants to know the prediction but also does not want to know in case he made a mistake. Other lyrics in this song represent Creon at the end of the play. "The sighs sound cruel and harsh. but I can't hear anything- no sound of salvation, I pray and I cry out for someone to save me. It gets worse and worse the more I grieve for you, cry for me and I'm sorry." These lyrics represent Creon after both his wife and son kill themselves. They describe how guilty and heartbroken he is about their deaths and how it will only get worse with time.…

School of Rock. Seeing those words on my calendar made me dread the weeks to come. My parents had signed me up for an activity, once again, without asking my opinion first. My friends would be going, but that didn’t make it sound better. I would be put in a band with people I didn't know. I’d always left being outgoing and meeting new people for my friends to take care of, but this week it seemed to be on my to-do list.…

Sort of a Song by William Carlos Williams is a song unsung by heroes of the pen: authors and poets. He describes writing as a moment of dull inhabitance characterized by sudden shocks of inspiration. His motive is unclear in whether or not he is supporting or antagonizing the art of writing, but his theme is clear: writing is a power captured in a moment’s notice that, when unobservant, leaves too quickly to be remembered. He describes the whole event as a near fatal one metaphorically symbolizing the pen as a snake, “Let the snake wait under his weed and the writing be of words, slow and quick, sharp to strike, quiet to wait, sleepless.” It is painful letting a moment’s idea slip away only leaving a mocking mark embedded in the subconscious…

Lieder ohne Worte (Song without Words) is written by the Romantic composer Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. It is a collection of forty-eight short lyrical piano pieces of markedly song-like character that he wrote at various periods of his life between 1809 and 1847. They are well suited to the study of musical form because of their artistic value. Op. 19b, No. 1 Andante con moto in E major was written in 1830 and is the first in the collection. The piece is in the key of E major and modulates from E to B to G major.…

In The Song of Songs, the Shulamite and her lover are everything but what society conforms to. In their Hebrew society there are rules and restrictions pertaining to sexual relations and who is allowed to marry who. These rules are stated in the book of Deuteronomy, and if the citizens do not abide by the laws written in the book, the punishments were harsh and brutal. However, the Shulamite and her lover seemed to be living in their own world where they could not care less about what society thought of them. In this poem, The Shulamite and her lover break many laws, and in most cases, desire seems to be considered a higher law to them than anything written in Deuteronomy.…

This song is part of my life soundtrack because it reminds me of my great grandma. My great grandma passed away when I was in 5th grade and this song has always reminded me of her. We were extremely close, she was my best friend, and whenever I hear this song it brings back memories of when I was at her house or just spending time with her. My favorite part of this song is the chorus. When I was younger I used to listen to this song after she passed away because it reminded me that I would see her again someday.…

I don’t like crazy, energetic songs to wake up to in the morning since I’m so sleepy. In fact, I’ve made sure I listen to the same song every morning when I’m getting ready. This song is a perfect, slow song to wake up to, all while having motivating lyrics that I can sing at the top of my lungs to help me wake up. It gives me just the right amount of motivation to start my day. I don’t know who Justin Bieber is saying gives him purpose, but this song definitely gives me purpose. It reminds me to thank God for the blessing of another morning. Nothing…

The touching lyrics of “Through the Rain” are the first reason it became my favorite song. The lyrics in this song are nice to hear, especially when you consider the lack of variety in the “pop” industry in terms of messages and themes. This song communicates messages of strength, patience, and resilience, which is ironic considering my battles since I decided to study abroad. It is like an anthem of hope for me to carry my torch to. It is a gentle reminder of less-joyful times. It is also a poignantly soothing love song of inner strength.…

We have chosen a song entitled ‘Miss Polly had a Dolly’ and our target group is Year Two students. Basically, this song tells about Miss Polly, a little girl who desperately wants her father to play with her. She makes her doll sick and finally manages to get her father’s attention. This song is selected because it meets the requirement of exposing students with ‘World of Stories’ theme. Therefore, as students watch the video clip and sing along the song, they will be immersed with the characters which eventually infuse their self-character-building. Moreover, the presentation of this song using video is apt to one of the KSSR principles which is the integration of ICT in classroom.…
