Simcity4 Persuasive Speech
I love the people of this city and I enjoy working for the people this city. My time here has been nothing but joy for the past one and half years. According to the city’s annual report that was presented to the city council by the mayor last month, I am proud to announce that together, we have made a lot progress for our residents. Simcity4 is lighting rod and magnet city that continues to attract more people into moving here. In the past one year, the population of this town has grown by almost six percent as compared to this time last year. In analyzing data of comparable cities around here, simcity4 is far way ahead on many things such improved affordable housing, good infrastructure and beautiful attractive sceneries and parks. If approved, this proposal should be operational in the next three years. Also, the transportation council has built a two parking ramps on the Eastside for travelers who wish to use public transportation to their places of work. The buses will operate on week days starting at five in the morning and stopping at ten in the evening. That will tremendously easy out traffic congestion during the rush hours of the day. This is going to be a multi-agency effort between our city and the city of Limewater as well as the metropolitan transportation council. In order for this project to take off, a great deal of intergovernmental cooperation will be needed so that burreacratic red tapes should not become an impediment for the smooth sailing of the light rail project. Everybody realizes that they have a stake in this and its timely completion will be a big relief for all parties involved. Last, the city has decided starting next year to have an open bidding system for garbage collectors in the city. Previously, we only had one vendor and after many

Until a new streetcar line opens this year with an official name as “QLine“. Throughout my research studies, I have discovered the traveling times for those in motor vehicles may increase slightly. However, all intersections and approaches will operate at acceptable levels of service. Furthermore, the streetcar would result in lower transit travel times as compared to those riding the bus along Woodward Avenue. On street parking will reduced on one side of Woodward Avenue. Pedestrian will be able to access along the corridor, not change significantly. Although it is safe for the riding and walking public, the curbside lane will have some negative impacts to cyclists riding along Woodward Avenue due to the risk of narrow cycle wheels falling into the streetcar rail flange. The capital costs’ total from this project was $140 million, with the projected ridership estimates are around 5,000 to 8,000 riders per…

    Will Light Rail Be Enough

Although this is a major community project, PSTC should be approximately 60% through the design phase and have a better understanding of where the rails will be placed and how much it will cost. Sound Transit has abused the planning process to promote this Light Rail system. They biased key studies by masking key information issued to the public and promoting a robust rail alternative against a deliberately hobbling transit bus system. Harkness indicates if Sound Transit utilized the Light Rail funds to improve arterials, HOV programs (car and van pool) and bus enhancements, then our transportation problems would have been progressing by now. Or if the number of people car or van pooling to work could be increased by five percent using employer incentives, it would take the same number of cars off the road as would the 21mile Light Rail system (Harkness, 2005). Analyzing available options are crucial to any project, but very ineffective if never applied or applied differently than originally…

When signing up to be an organ donor you usually think only your major organs will be used; however, something as small as a ligament of yours is used in popular surgeries such as anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstructions. When someone tears their ACL they usually have a choice to have an autograft, or use one of their own ligaments, but they can also choose to have an allograft, or take a cadaver’s ligament to repair it. Each has it’s advantages and disadvantages, but I personally think that the better option is the allograft because I think the advantages are better than using your own ligament from another part of your body. The advantages consist of faster operative time, less post-operative pain, and a faster recovery time.…

PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric disorder that can occur following the experience or witnessing of life-threatening events such as the military combat, natural disasters, terrorism incidents, or any major tragedy. This is common in the life of veterans and is the leading cause of suicide among veterans. A VA patient who survived in Baghdad shares his experience with PTSD and explains how he knew he had this disability. Many veterans speak out about this issue and describe their continuous anger, alcohol addiction, and constantly wanted to fight. They usually feel very isolated and distant from their loved ones. One patient states, “PTSD involves rocketing into extreme states of stress re-activity; in the form of terror, rage, and uncontrollable impulses, and plunging into equally extreme states of being shut-down—exhaustion, emotional numbing, despair, and dissociation”. PTSD is about having fear and anxiety, allowing veterans to rage with anger and different emotion. There are many factors to PTSD, which affects others in different ways; or example, using video games to keep them occupied, spending money due to the lack of impulse control because of changes in their brain, and even not obtaining another job.…
