THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE ARE FREE
THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE ARE FREE

There is a sayin that the best things in life are free. It is certainly that some things that we can enjoy in our lifes are free but the most of them are ery expensive and not everybody can afford it. It is fair that we have to pay for having a good time?
In the one hand there are many things that we can do totally free. Like meeting friends. For example, you can organise an sleepover or also they can go to your house to watch films. What is more, if you are an sporty person and you want to kill your time, you can practise the sport whatever you want without pay, in certain places. Also, there is something else that everybody want to have in their house, a pet. You can adopted a pet or collect it from the street, even though that the most of them are expensive.
On the other hand, it is nice to go to places like the cinema or to a disco occasionally with your family or with your friends, but the problem with this is that you have to pay and every time this entertainment is increasing. The same problem we have with the food. There are a lot of poor people in the society that don’t have enough money for eat, and it isn’t something cheap. Also, there shouldn’t be private education, it would have to be the same education for everyone. It seems clear that if the majority of this points would be free, everything would be easier.
To sum up, I would say that are specials things enjoyable and unique in our lifes. However, money is necessary for our well-being and also with it we can enjoy others irremplaceable things.

In Frances Moore Lappe’s essay, “Freedom From and Freedom To,” speaker one argues the many civil liberties we are bestowed with give us freedom from government interference. The speaker argues he is free because there is no one there who can determine what to do with his life; he can pursue whatever he desires, whenever he desires. Speaker one discusses money plays a major role in the aspects of freedom because in his aspect of freedom, “freedom from interference”, the speaker argues the more money one acquire the more worry-free lifestyle you will be living (Lappe, 510) Although financial stability is a big part of being “free” it can not possess every aspect of happiness. Speaker one claims “money is essential to finding oneself” (Lappe, 511)…

Willing to Pay (WTP) is founded on what has been termed ‘new welfare economics’ (Enthoven, 2011). Within this paradigm individual preferences are explained by how consumers are assumed to behave in a ‘free’, and perfectly, competitive market. The consumer is assumed to have his own subjective ‘taste’, and to allocate his budget across all commodities in such a way that his utility (overall-wellbeing) is maximized. Importantly, individuals are assumed to be the best judge of their own welfare; the notion of ‘consumer sovereignty’. Social welfare is assumed to be simply a function of these individual utilities, such that when one individual’s utility increases, ceteris paribus, social welfare increases. One important condition for maximizing social welfare is that all commodities for which individuals are prepared to pay the social costs are available in the market (Enthoven, 2011)…

In Michael Norton’s Tedx talk “ Money Can Buy You Happiness”, Norton suggests that money cam make us happy if we spend it on others. He explores that money often makes us feel very selfish and we do things only for ourself. Thus, happiness is not determinded by how much one earns or how much one spends on himself, but how he spends money on others, no matter how much or how it is spent : “ People who spent money on other people got happier; nothing happened to people who spent money on themselves”- Norton said.…

People who do something for free, for purely idealistic reasons, tend to become less satisfied if they start getting paid. One would expect the opposite. After all, if you continue to do something you like, but also get paid to do it, you presumably have a good deal. The problem is that it changes one’s relation to the activity itself. It transforms…

When one grows up in America, they are often told that they are free, but is this actually true? Not necessarily. It is true that America offers more choice and opportunities than some other countries, but the American people have begun to stretch out what freedom really is. With each passing year, the American dream that so many people have sought after, becomes more and more elusive due to money being the only way to get it. Not to mention laws, even good ones, cannot be in place for true freedom to take place. America, land of the “free”, is not truly free.…

If one looks at the data, the bigger problem is that many students don’t finish college. “Only about 55 percent of students graduate six years after starting,” Bob Luebke (a writer for the Civitas Institute.) The problem is not access but completion. So why do people drop out of college? For the most part, money is not the biggest problem; it’s usually factors like family issues, or transportation. Providing free tuition to institutions that graduate only a small amount over 50 percent of their students does not make economic sense. Also, if college tuition does become free for students, colleges will attract more young people who are not suited for college and will most likely drop out as well as more students that will major in fields with little or no market…

But that does not include the fact that people should give up buying commodities such as clothes, accessories, cars, and phones. That also does not include for them to excessively donate every single time they have a bit of extra money. People should be allowed to save their money, but not to the extent of selfishness. Sometimes, people save their money in case of emergencies or just improving their lives. By donating every single time they have extra money, they might not be able to achieve that. You should be able to pay expensive things as much as you’d like but also donate money too. If you have money to buy those commodities, you should be able to spare a some of it on the…

Ever since we were children we have been molded by society. At the store with our parents we wanted them to get us that “cool” toy that lights up and makes generic noises. When they said “no”, we were furious. The frustration of these incidents created a false hate for our own loving parents. Now we know of coarse that our parents didn’t hate us, they just couldn’t afford to buy the toy. Even though they worked every day for us, they still couldn’t afford it. When we were a little older we started to grasp this concept. This is when we realized that we needed money to buy things. If you have enough money, you can get your hands on whatever you want. This realization got us looking for jobs. In this paper I will ask the question “Are we free?” and argue some of my thoughts on how multiple institutions of society can have such a large impact on our lives.…

Even though most societies are driven by free-market values, all of us still believe that should help one another. Some people may become successes and some people may become failures. There is a level of will in what people achieve, but we must admit that there is also luck, privilege, connections, and timing. Not all people became rich, but we cannot blame the poor if they are poor. We live in a competitive society and not everyone can become a champion. This is why we should foster the spirit of cooperation among ourselves. Paying taxes according to our capabilities is part of this.…
