It is more so unwillfully forced to being born into a detrimental lifestyle. Child poverty denies a child the basic needs to survive, whilst depriving children from having equal opportunities such as education, and the safe and security of a home. A child being born into poverty unfortunately has a higher chance of being abused, discriminated and exploited due to their living conditions. Poverty in my opinion shows a strong relationship with child maltreatment and neglect. Research has proven that poverty in adolescence is said to negatively affect oes cognitive development.
