The Event That Changed My Life
The event that changed my life

There are many things in life that can change the course of a persons life. It can either make a positive impact or a negative impact on a persons life. Its always best to have the positive impact though. For me I have had a positive experience that has changed my life forever and that is receiving Jesus as my savior. I am a changed person, I have direction for my life, and I have an amazing church that I go to and a great church family that is always there. Many people change by the friends they hang with or the things they do. I myself have changed by receiving Jesus as my savior. I have changed because I do not do things I used to do. I now follow Gods commandments and live for him. I have been saved for 3 yrs and God has changed the way I think by not laughing at impure things. He has changed my attitude I used to just not care about anything. I used to be prideful and all about myself but not anymore I have compassion for people. I read the word of God and it has changed me so much. I just acknowledge God in my life and he acknowledges me and has changed me deeply. I have found true direction and it’s the only direction that is true and matters for my life and that is the direction from God. I have direction from God in my life no matter what I go through he will always direct u in the right path. He has directed me in what college to go to. He has also directed me into the major I want to go into and that is childhood development. He has given me a passion for kids. He has directed me into an awesome job and that’s the childcare center at my church its amazing. He has also directed my path in the church and the youth group I am an intern in my youth group and eventually going to become a leader. I never had this kind of true direction in my life its amazing I have an amazing church and my church family that will always be there for me. I have had to go through some tough times and they are always there for me. I don’t

I know that God is always there for me, and I trust him, but life happens and we face reality daily. We hope for things to happen the way we want them to and even the way we plan for them to, but reality is something we can never predict. I try to think of many different conclusions, and prepare for different scenarios, but things happen the way they do whether we prepare for them or not. I entered college right after high school thinking that I would go for four years and get a degree and a job. Reality struck and here I am, 31 years old and back in school trying to pursue my dream.…

For school, the thing that has changed was my grades have improved so that I was able to get principal's list. My life has changed because I have found out about my true friends and my “fake” friends. The ones that I know more outside of school are my true friends but the ones that I don’t talk to at all is different. This helped me change the way I look at people and kinda prejudge. But hopefully this habit will just go away with time.…

The transformational experience that I will use for my example is very personal. I used to be in a very abusive marriage. My marriage was damaging to me as a person, and damaging to my children because it prohibited me from making anything of myself. I would always make excuses for my lack of productivity, stating that I couldn’t do anything with my life because my husband wouldn’t let me. Finally, in 2011, I realized that I was wasting my life. The only thing that my daughter was ever going to learn from me, was how to let someone else run there life and impact her choices. We would never have had a normal life! When I realized what I was doing to myself and to my kids, I knew that I had a significant problem. I confronted the problem, and I was very intense about it. I tried marriage counseling, personal counseling, and biblical counseling. I tried talking with my ex, and I sought advice from many people whom I really believed could help. After exhausting my resources, I knew that the only logical solution was to take my children out of the abusive situation and start from scratch. I chose to go first to the police for help, and then to battered women’s shelter. The women’s shelter helped us to move away and…

I enjoyed helping on service day at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. With my family by my side we cleaned the campus grounds, worked inside the sanctuary cleaning and polishing pews. I met many people from the parish and made friendships. After service day I felt pride, and had fun spending time helping the church, but I realized I wasn’t a member of the church. I spoke to my parents about how passionately my siblings and I wanted to become parishioners. We are a Christian family that believes in God, but it was a huge commitment to become Catholic and join the church.…

A big event that has changed my life was when my older brother moved away to go to the navy. This changed my life cause I did not know if I was ever going to see him again. When he told me he was leaving and not going to be back for awhile i thought he was leaving because of me, I was a little brat back then so yeah and at the age i was i thought everything was my fault. The day my brother left was probably the saddest thing to ever happen because me and him would always hang out and play video games or walk around town or do something fun. I remember when we dropped him off at the airport i was clinched on to his leg and i was refusing to let go because I didn’t want him to leave. Now that i look back on it i think one of the reasons why i didn’t want him to leave is because he was kinda like my best friend/ role model so yeah and well he is my older brother and I didn’t want anything to happen to him.…

The one event that majorly impacted my life was the first mission trip I went on with my school, Indian Rocks Christian School. Every May the school sends teams of students and teachers to different places around the world, from right nearby in Florida to the other side of the world in Thailand. My ninth grade year I got the chance to travel to and spend a week working in Guatemala, with children, adults, and some time working construction, and it changed my view on life greatly. I met so many amazing people, and wonderful children, but I also saw another side of how people live and it opened my eyes. While in Guatemala, I was in a small group who were given the opportunity to visit families who the church helped. Their houses were barely held…

So after some serious praying and soul searching, I knew what I had to do. I chose to fight for what I loved so dearly, my children, our home and stabilazation. I went right to work and got three jobs, and got my car back. I was then able to rent a trailer home from a friend, and after one year and three months, my babies came home for good. I eventually went on to meet someone else, and he has been a blessing to my life and to the lives of my children. All of the struggles I encountered were just changes being made by a plan that was already in place. A plan that was made before I was even a thought in my parents mind, Gods plan. I always knew that God existed and not for one minute did I ever doubt that. However, at times I wasn't willing to accept his plan. I had my own in place. That is the struggle though, as a person of flesh and blood, we don't see the bigger, grander picture. These changes that are brought about in so many ways, often refered to as trials or…
