The Outsiders Book Review Essay
The Outsiders by S.E Hinton is a book about the troubles that teenagers face and how they are able to overcome them. The development of the characters throughout the book is evident and how they act make the book an interesting read. What they go through and how the book ends gives the book a sense of realism and is able to teach essential life lessons.
If I were to walk by a book store and see this book on the stand I would pick it up. In my opinion the book cover is good because it is able to grab my attention and its overall grasps the concept of the characters. The title gives us an idea of what the book is going to be about. Even when the book title is simple, it is able to attract the readers. Even the synopsis which is the little summary on the back of the book tells us what the book is going to be about and who is able to spark a reader's attention. He tells him to stay gold because he is a great kid and from the rest of them he is. Johnny appreciated Pony boy because of everything he did for him and the fact that when Johnny killed Bob, Pony boy was there with him and went through everything even through the burning church. Johnny was a good kid too, but then when he killed bob he lost a piece of him, a piece that Pony boy still had that’s why when he died he told Pony boy to stay gold. Pony boy will keep his promise to stay gold.
Overall The Outsiders was a good book that was able to appeal too many of my emotions and was able to explain the problems within their society and how it affected the people in it. Even when many teenagers reading the book during this time may not fully connect with situations the basic problems are there. The characters and plot development were all good and played an essential role in the overall meaning of the
