Essay on the Tourism Industry as my career choice
The tourism industry is a wide sphere of service. Every year millions of people address the travel agencies asking for help choose place to spend their vacations.
Working in this industry enables you to discover the world, to meet new people and to see new places. It’s a wonderful opportunity to open up the world for those who want to see! You should be able to see the world with open eyes of a child and to be able to make the others to see it like this also and to make them same interested like you are. Discovering new cultures, seeing new places is always exiting but only the work in travel industry can make these things a source of profit for you.
Working in the travel and tourism industry no doubtfully demands perfect communication skills. It’s a good opportunity to develop and demonstrate your abilities in this sphere. You should be able to present services in the best way to make people interested, to make them remember you and your high-level service to come back to you in the future.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to make business making people happy using your imagination and charm. It’s a work where business meets creativity to make the most of individual career experiences. This career choice gives you much freedom and independence.
Usually one of the important aspects of this career includes team work. If you are a good communicator and easy-going and sociable person who would join the collective and inspire it with new ideas and enthusiasm, this work can be appropriate for you. A good working collective becomes a solid team where everyone helps the other in achieving joint goals.
This is a challenging work also. Sometime you have to work under pressure and sometimes it can seem that nobody needs your service.     Individual businesses must work in partnership with other organisations in order to be successful. Tourism is a very competitive and complex sector and many companies develop links with other businesses as a way of maximising profits. If for example Thomas cook didn’t work with other hotels, insurance companies, company picks up on arrival, Thomas cook wouldn’t make any profits, as customers wouldn’t want to book a holiday with a company who don’t take out insurance, which if an accident happened they would have thousands to pay with no compensation. Also if customers were to book with a company who didn’t book with certain hotels, you could end up anywhere without any information about it. Whereas if Thomas cook have interrelationships with hotels they are more likely to be safer and nicer hotels, meaning customers trust Thomas cook knowing the hotel is good one.
