What Is A Christ Figure

The most recognizable person in the history of mankind is Jesus Christ. The Christ figure is a representation of a character that has similar characteristics to Christ. Christ figures in literature are typically subtle references that your teacher points out or they are pointed out in plain sight by the author. Physical productions, such as movies and television shows have been using the idea of a Christ figure, as well. An example of this is The Doctor in the British Sci-Fi show “Doctor Who.” The purpose of this research paper is to explain the concept of a Christ figure and how it relates to Doctor Who. He was nailed to a cross and crucified for these accusations and he sacrificed himself for every human. He forgave those who wronged him and died for the sins of Christians of any place or time. Never once did he question his decision, he simply did what he was told to do and that was to save mankind. Once he had died, they buried him in a cave and covered the entrance with a giant rock. Three days later, he was discovered to not be in the cave and to be completely healed. He was able to make a blind man have vision, he gave people food and wine from his own body, and was able to protect every Christian's soul so that they could go to Heaven and live eternally in peace. He was able to save a tremendous amount of people in a short life span. Most of these rescues occurred during his adulthood, but they were important enough to be remembered and spread by word for years after. He used the power of God and belief to help heal the wounded and save those who needed it most
