Who Is Snapchat's Biggest Competitors
One of Facebooks biggest competitor is Snapchat. Snapchat is a picture taking social media platform that is extremely popular for the younger population. In just five years Snapchat grew into one of the four most used social media platforms. In 2016 Snapchat already had 120 million monthly active users. Here are some comparisons from the year end 2016.
- Facebook’s annual revenue was $27,638 (mil) compared to Snapchat’s $404.46 (mil).
- Facebook’s gross profit was $23,849 (mil) compared to Snapchats $-47.178 (mil).
Facebook hit 2 billion users this year but most young people are not logging on as much now that they rather use other social media platforms like Snapchat, which is setting Facebook up for an overall decline. One of Exxon Mobil’s biggest competitors is Royal Dutch Shell, most commonly known as Shell. Shell Is the largest nongovernmental oil company. It explores crude oil and natural gas worldwide. The company’s segments include integrated gas, upstream, downstream and corporate. Here are some comparisons from the year end 2016.
- Exxon Mobil’s annual revenue was $218,608 (mil) while Royal Dutch Shell’s was $233,591(mil).
- Exxon Mobil’s gross profit was $82,510 (mil) and Royal Dutch Shell’s was $42,583 (mil).
Exxon Mobil is the largest publicly traded oil producer, which simply means it Exxon Mobil produces the most oil. Exxon Mobil specializes in crude oil, natural gas and petroleum. The company’s segments include upstream, downstream, chemical, corporate and financing. Exxon Mobil and Royal Dutch Shell are two very similar company’s but Shell is currently doing better than Exxon Mobil. Exxon Mobil is struggling to replace falling production, therefore Shell is currently doing better.
