LOVE STORY

This is a true story about two people who fall in love breaking all the odds of the family tradition and cultures. It was one of the most unbelievable things that could happen in our life. She being the hot shot and me not at all happening creature It had all began when I started adding people as in girls cause I’m a teenage boy seeking fun. One fine day I added this girl called “Drishti Chhabria”. She hadn’t accepted my request but she did reply to it asking some question, I replied them with satisfying answer than she had accepted my request. It all happened in the month of March somewhere in the start. Then we came to know each other started talking. On the 12th of April I had to go to an exhibition to help Sanjay Sippy. It was the last day of the exhibition so we had a party in the night. I had a bike and a car in my hand so was having fun riding and driving it. In the night Drishti had messaged me so I replied should I come to see u and all those stuff in that I had given my number to her but I hadn’t ask her for her no. Next day will cycling at carter rd around 8 30 pm she did call me to meet. This was the first encounter with Neha and Rashmi varma and drishti. It was a just a minute meet I was late had to go so they were too. The next day we had met for a long time but Drishti had told me that Neha had lots of attitude in her which I had never seen. Recently this was solved. Neha did tell me somehow she never had any attitude when we ever met “so cute of her”. Then they had got there SSC results and Drishti had called me saying don’t talk to her for invalid reason which were of no use. I was shocked it can’t be possible this was almost two to three months later. During this interval, I did try contacting Neha but she wasn’t interested so even I said why to give her attention. But there was something magical between Neha and me. I did contact her on 5th of august, by this time me and dristi had stopped talking at all. But this time, Neha had changed she was something else; we did talk for half an hour. That day I clearly remember I did see the movie hangover was an exciting movie but the most exciting thing was we decided that the maximum time of call by the caller is 15 mins then the other person has to call or call later. The next day it was my turn to call because she did call me that day after my 15 mins. Then on the 7th I taunted her by saying that “I knew you wouldn’t call me”. Then like a nice girl she called me the next day after my lunch at 1 30 pm. She was talking how to megh and his friends would come over and play. For a week or two we were only talking on the phone then during these days I had my test too so I would go in the afternoon very alternate days. One test of circle of remaining on Monday I was too lazy to go and give then I decided to give it on Thursday. On that day I started studying in the morning. My cousins had called me for a cycle ride to essel world so I rushed everything and went for that test in the afternoon, but unfortunately they had left. After very test I would call her and talk to her for a minute or so. On that day I called her and she wanted to inquire about her college so I said lets go now she got ready in an hour and we met at Axis bank. I reached and as usual she was late. The signal was red and her auto halted at the signal. She does something unusual, it was she comes out of the Rick just for a second gives me a sign it’s me come in and goes in the Rick again. Then we got down at St. Andrews College and there was this guy good looking as we would do hot guy hot guy when we would meet before she yaaa I was like she has changed a lot. She’s different. Then we spent time and went to Punjab book stall to buy books then she got two three books of math and English. Then we left are own way. And buy the way she didn’t had a cell so she would use her mother’s cell. Her mother no was 9819571806. Then again for about a week we were only talking on the phone with that 15min call. Then we directly met on a Saturday after a week and two days at axis bank around 5 days, we walked till national college then we had to cross the road over an incident took place between us. The incident was as soon as we started crossing the road she held my hand tight and I got scared as no one as caught my hand I still remember that incident very clearly after that I would always leave her while crossing roads as I was scared and my heart rate would take a heap. Then we went home then for another week spoke on the phone. There was a change happening we wanted to meet each other more often. We were now getting use to each other. Time was passing by and we were closing up.

There are three stories that I loved in particular during this quarter. The Things They Carried, A Roman Incident, and A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings. These three stories carried a lot of emotion and excitement. They all have different plots and backgrounds, but for the most part, there are so much in common between these three stories in a psychological, socio/political, spiritual, queer, and feminist lens. Besides those examples, the one thing that connects these three the most is that the reader can find love in all of the stories.…

In her novel Beloved, Toni Morrison explores the paradoxical nature of love both as a dangerous presence that promises suffering and a life-giving force that gives the strength to proceed; through the experiences of the run-away slave Sethe. The dangerous aspect of love is revealed through the comments of Paul D and Ella regarding the motherly love of Sethe towards her children. Sethe's deep attachment to her children is deemed dangerous due to their social environment which evidently promises that the loved one of a slave will be hurt. On the other hand, love is portrayed as a sustaining force that allows Sethe to move on with her life. All the devastating experiences Sethe endures do not matter due to the fact that she must live for her children. Although dangerous, Sethe's love finally emerges as the prevalent force that allows her to leave the past behind and move on with her life.…

    J. F. Powers omnisciently narrates a story of a former white-collared worker that becomes a temporary, manual laborer and his acclimation to his new life. “The Old Bird, A Love Story” tells about the mental journey that Mr. Newman goes on to accustom to his new life as a blue-collared worker. The author explains his situation in a sympathetic manner by describing Mr. Newman’s thoughts, emotions, and reactions as he goes through his day. Powers excellently delivers the story with a light-hearted tone that strikes the heart of his readers. He often compares his previous lifestyle with his current one which gives off a sentimental feeling, similar to a parent as they look at their child all grown up. They reminisce about the past, but do not wish…
