Many people from all around the world wish to someday be American. I have the lucky privilege to already be American, and I am proud to be one. America is a nation to be proud of because we have the freedom of speech, America has many different religions, and it is also a free country. People are proud to live in America for more reasons too, all varying in what they choose to believe in and think is right. I am proud to be an American because in America we have the freedom of speech. With the right to speech we are able to stand up for what we think. We’re allowed to protest about things we don’t agree upon. With freedom comes responsibility though, we are allowed to protest, but we aren’t supposed to threaten. If you threaten someone/someone’s life you can get in trouble. This responsibility is good though, it helps to keep people from saying without thinking.
In America there are many different religions. I’m glad I live here because people express their own form of religion without getting judged. Many people move to and are proud to be American because it is so accepting over this delicate subject such as religion. Religions have been compared and judged as far back before America was even discovered. America overlooks that fact and allows everyone to believe what they want to believe.
America is also a free country, meaning that the people have rights. I’m proud to say I live in a country where I am free, not every country has the privilege to say that. Being a free country the people are the ones with rights, our rights are listed as the first 10 amendments in the Constitution referred to as the Bill of Rights.
Now as you can tell there are multiple reasons why I am proud to be an American. In America we have the freedom to speech, we have many different religions, and we are also a free country with our own rights.

The final aspect of a patriot is pride for their country. This pride is taught in history classrooms all around the United States, in homes of this country’s people, and is held in the hearts of those who truly love “the land of the free and the home of the brave.” Proud patriots range from the sweet, Vietnam veteran who wears his service cap proudly to the little girl who waves her flag on Independence Day. If one is truly proud of their country, it will be evident to those around…

Although we are not completely “free”, as a democracy, the United States stresses the importance of equality among its citizens. The U.S. constitution guarantees each and every American basic civil rights which in turn gives our country structure, function, and some power to the people. Every unique person will have rights they feel are more important to them than others depending on our views, attitudes, and ethics.…

In my opinion America is the greatest country on earth. One of the best things about America is our freedom. Our freedom is something to truly be proud of! In many other countries you have to filter what you say, but not in great ole America you are legally able to say whatever you want. In some Asian countries young children and lower class adults have to work in factories for very low pay, just because there is no other options. In America this is not the case, here we could work where ever we desire, with the right education of course. Religion, religion is a big one. In many counties what, or whom you worship is controlled by the government.…

I was born and raised here in the United States. Therefore, I have been part of a generation that has experienced both the good and the bad. When I was younger, I always thought America was the greatest country in the world. I was so proud to be born and raised in the United States. I remember learning about 9/11 every year, watching Barack Obama become our first African-American President, and learning about the many tragedies our nation has faced along these past few years. Being an American and witnessing so many events unfold these past few years has made me feel both happy and upset with how our nation has evolved. For all of my life, I have been an American citizen. I’ve never thought of my freedoms and rights as being a blessing, for I’ve never known anything different. But now that I have gone to DC and have seen all of our national buildings and landmarks, like the white house, Arlington Cemetery, the Jefferson Memorial, and so on, I now have a newly founded appreciation for my liberties. All of the rights I have as an american are very special and unique, for the concept of everyone being equal was new in our world. Also, the bravery of our forefathers is astonishing, for they could have been tried and hung for treason if we didn’t win the war. And the government they establish is completely original and is completely, as put by our 16th president, Abraham Lincoln, “of the people, by the people, for the people,” and in my opinion, constructed in liberty, and most importantly, freedom.…
